VASA Fitness

Great location. Everything is always clean and in working order. The environment is respectful. The staff is friendly. Locker room is a bit small though and the Sauna/Steam isn’t in the locker room.

My teenage son has been on a basic plan for approximately 2 years. Last month he went into the Layton Vasa where they talked him into an upgrade telling him it was free to try for 30 days. They even took his phone and did it for him. When he got home, he immediately tried to downgrade or cancel. What the workers at Layton didn't tell him was there is a $25 fee to go back down to the basic plan. He tried to cancel online which wanted to charge him a whole month of the upgraded fee because you have to give 30 days notice. He tried calling customer service, but the wait times were ridiculously long. He sent an email in Aug to get it cancelled, but never received a response back. He was then charged a full upgraded fee on Sept 7. After multiple calls and waiting to customer service, he finally got his membership cancelled, but they would not refund him anything. I finally got involved and called and talked to Natalie at the Layton Vasa, who told me she would have Hugo the general manager call me back. He never did. A few days later, I called and talked to Daisy at Layton who told me she didn't even know Hugo's last name. She then tried to tell me since my son upgraded online, he should have read all the policies and seen there would be fees if he tried to downgrade. The big problem is it was the employee who did it on my son's phone. They'll only tell you the free part but not what's in the fine print. As you're on hold, you hear over and over about the no pressure sales. Ha! Terrible customer service! Stay away!!! Trying to cancel has been a nightmare!

Signing up was very easy and going into the gym was great. Facility is very well kept the front desk employees were very nice and I got an amazing workout

It’s nice being able to go to the gym and they have multiple workout stations so you always have a spot to get your workout in plus the hours of operations are super helpful with a constantly changing work schedule

If you are sharing a credit card with someone, do not permit them to use their card on this Gym. They will keep the card on file and then charge it endlessly, even after they have canceled the membership. They will then send the wrong person to collections because they "had their credit card card on file"

I wrote the below review over a month ago about the Vasa in Layton. Still nothing has been done about the air in the back room. As in there is no air flow in the back area and it is so hot. They put one fan back there in hopes that maybe it would do some thing?I would think that management would take pride in their facility and fix things that need to be fixed. Especially such a big thing like the air. I have almost passed out doing legs because it is so hot back there. Hopefully sometime in the near future, it will be fixed so it does not become a liability for somebody.I have been going to the Vasa in Layton for a few years now. I like going to this gym, but it always seems to have issues from equipment being down/broke, seats torn, etc.An ongoing issue that has not been fixed yet is the air, or should I say no air that goes to the back room where the leg presses are and where all the cable machines are. It is just the beginning of summer and it is so hot back there already. Stale air and no air flow is not good to work out in.Complaints are made to management and it seems to go in one ear and out the other. Hopefully someone will see this in higher management and fix some issue around here.

So far the most clean VASA I have been to! Love the ample space in the sauna! My top pic of you’re in the area.

Great customer service. I feel like it lives up to the name ad my home gym. People clean up after themselves and the machines after use. Basically I love the culture of this place. I've been been other vasas. This one is the one! Now I only the basic pass. But if I had to guess the others vip passes would be even better !Thanks all that helped shape this gym to the best.

Great gym friendly and helpful staff, and your fellow gym goer's are friendly and just inspire you to keep pushing yourself. Overall amazing experience.
