Genesis Health Clubs - Lee's Summit West

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere as far as other members and the overall vibe. I would appreciate more being done to update and modernize the location. Dom and my guy with the beard who's training to compete professionally are the BEST but everyone is great!

Always greeted by staff upon entering. Equipment is well taken care of and plenty of space. I come here 3 days a week to lift. Genesis Lee’s Summit West is my go to gym.

If your looking for a clean club with plenty of equipment this is not your gym. I think the only time the equipment is cleaned is when the members wipe down before or after use which is rare to see in my opinion. Equipment is worn out and the floors are covered in stains. Locker room seem to be pretty tidy thought but I have not used the showers so can not review those. To be honest I came from Planet Fitness expecting more equipment options and now regret my choice to change gyms. Hoping to go back to PF when my membership commitment is done here. Hope this helps.

Overall, I've been to most Gensis locations and have had good if not great experiences.But this one is terrible.Front staff seem nonchalant and were hard to understand. Layout is nothing like other locations nor looks/color scheme. These lockers have no locks included.Seems silly but I enjoy the consistency of chains, it's one of the reasons for them.......

My review is ONLY in regard to my experience with trainer, Kyle Egger, the Fitness Manager at the Lee's Summit West location.He is a gem.I reluctantly signed up for 4 sessions that were a benefit with Silver Sneakers portion of my insurance. I was frightened that I may add to existing pain frankly.This young man listened to my health concerns, gave me exercises that were new to me,even though Ive done lots of pt in the past.Outstanding employee and individual.Not just for seniors, but including seniors.I highly recommend some sessions if you've not used this benefit.

Front desk is always super friendly and uplifting making everyone who enters feel at home. The trainers listen to what your needs are and tailor your workouts according to your goals. Really nice they don’t use a one size fits all approach.

I go to the location in St. Louis. I was in town and tried to get a quick workout in. They dont have towels so I have to dry off after my shower with paper towels from the sink. What kind of gym doesn’t have a towel service? Also, a bit older but equipment was fine.

My family loves the Lee's Summit West Genesis! There is a list of reasons why, but I will just share a few from the top!-The comfort and ease we feel from the staff and members! When you are shy and starting out, the kindness of strangers makes all the difference!-Kyle E., Head Trainer/Fitness Mngr, has helped us accelerate our fitness and health journey! We wouldn't be were we are today if it weren't for his guidance and dedication!- The Group Power class and instructors!

I'm infuriated with this place. Signed up online then decided to use a different gym. I went in to cancel and they said the manager wasn't there but he'd call me. A couple weeks went by so I came back in. I noticed they charged me more to sign up than they advertised also.He said I'd be charged another month because I didn't give 30 day notice....I did give 30 day notice. Your employee or you just dropped the ball.I won't stop the negative reviews everywhere until you make this right.

My experience with the personal training has been phenomenal as my pro, Kyle, is knowledgeable about helping me meet my goals through a wide variety of exercise, andhis attention to detail is a positive indication to me that I'm in the right place. At this time I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!
