I would give it ZERO STARS IF I COULDI went in for a 3 day trial decided I didn't like this location and it wasn't the gym for me and a month later they charged me! I didn't sign any paperwork or choose a plan! Absolutely ridiculous

Club has gone down the drain, dated equipment, poor management, and poor atmosphere. The manager Nicholas shows poor management skills for being a "manager". I recommend Crunch or 24hr fitness, which are close by, instead.

Love GGDTLA! Hot tub, sauna, steam room, half Olympic pool with lanes, boxing ring, vip lockers with amenities, copious amounts of cardio machines, large sq.ft weights floor, juice bar, retail shop, accesible ready, lovely staff.... Did I forget anything!

I have been going to this gym for 3 years, and everything was pretty decent. But lately, every time I come - more and more machines are broken. And there is no substitute for them, only one of each and they are old. Today there were 7 total out of order. I didn't get a chance to finish my exercises. Also I can only come once a week, so it's quite disappointing.

I love this gym because everyone works as a team but more like a family.

I have been a Gold's Gym member since 2007. I have spent thousands of dollars in both my gym membership and personal training over these past 14 years. In fact, there has only been a short period of time in my adult life where I haven't been a Gold's Gym member. It was when I was 23 years old, and had brain surgery to relieve and extract an epidural hematoma, rendering me bedridden for several months to recover. I was a member at the Hollywood location, and could most definitely not do any sort of physical exercise during this time. Instead of accepting my doctor's notes and photos of my injury as proof I was incapacitated, they requested I go IN PERSON to the club on Cole Ave., with the right side of my head shaved, and 4 inches of stitches cascading down the side of it, to cancel my membership. This should have been when I stopped going to Gold's altogether! I decided to give them another chance when I moved back to Long Beach.I have referred friends and have had them sign up. I have purchased merchandise and spent countless hours exercising in their facilities. In February of 2020, I purchased a personal training pack, much like I would have normally done once it was time to re-up on sessions, completely unaware, much like most Americans, of the then looming pandemic. As we of course know, the country shutdown shortly after that purchase.I went to Gold's the day BEFORE the shutdown for a workout, and had a session with my trainer the day prior to that. I then suffered an awful injury rendering me unable to even THINK of exercising from April 2020 - July 2020. In August, I remembered I had sessions that I should probably get refunded, as there was no opening date in sight for gyms, let alone the country. I inquired via email about a refund, and was given this response from a Sindy Rodriguez: "I can submit the refund for you, but no refunds will be processed until the facility opens. Unfortunately there isn't anything going out at this time." This person also told me: "If you didn't want to continue with your training upon reopening we can issue a refund for the sessions, but I do want to advise that no refunds are being processed until the facility reopens."I have been told a refund WOULD be processed pending reopening. While I was annoyed that a global corporate gym was not able to process a credit card refund from an office not inside my club's location, and that it would only be happening pending reopening of said location, I was patient, and waited for what was then an indefinite amount of time for my refund. As soon as the go ahead was given to reopen in the city of Long Beach in March, Gold's Gym promptly did so. I then reached out to FINALLY inquire about my refund on March 12th, -- it's now been over ONE YEAR since I purchased the sessions. I was informed this would be sent to corporate for approval and processing. After checking in a couple times to see what the progress was, I received a phone call on April 13th, letting me know that corporate has denied my request for a refund, stating they were unable to process it because it does not meet the following 2 pieces of criteria -- 1. I did not move over 25 miles from the gym's location and 2. I did not sustain an injury rendering me incapable to exercise, permanently. While these terms would be fairly reasonable during any other time, it is not in the slightest during a global pandemic where EVERYTHING IS FLUID AND COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE, this is utterly unacceptable.Gold's, you lost a member for life, and I will never refer another person here. It's a shame since the staff is SO lovely. JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

Representative who sold me the membership was misleading. He lied and said I would only pay $21.99. I was scammed.I purchased the month to month membership. For one month it is $21.99. I cancelled my gym membership after 1 month. Please explain why I ended up paying $21.99 plus $99.99 dollars in gym fees?? Very expensive not worth that much money for just using the gym for 1 month. It’s ridiculous the amount of money I was charged.I really insist that people read the contracts clearly so you don’t find yourself into problems. They have a difficult refund system. These gyms are nothing but scams. Very unsatisfied. 👎👎👎

I have been to gyms and fitness centers all over Los Angeles and Golds Gym in Long Beach is fantastic and checks all the boxes I need. From easy free parking, open large facility, classic result oriented free weight machines as well as clean showers and steam room. This is the gym to get serious and focus.I am looking forward to your reopening after the Covid break.

Golds Gym is my gym, I've been coming here for about a month now and it's been great. This location is in the heart of downtown long Beach. Golds gym has a ton of equipment to choose from so you'll never get bored. And what's fun about the membership if you got a premium membership you can choose any one of the golds gym you'd like to go to, some may have more or different equipment for you to use like a boxing rink. I highly recommend golds gym for those looking to get fit and start feeling better about yourself.
