Did a drop in this week with professor Gabe and couldn’t be more welcoming. Overall had a great experience and can’t wait to visit again. Hopefully next time I will have time for my 10 year old son to get some training in.

Amazing communication and fast response. I contacted Base BJJ through their website. Ten minutes later Professor Gabe called me. I grew up in Lubbock and will be visiting my Parents in August. Last year, I had a teammate go to Lubbock for work and he trained at Base. My Teammate told me the school was awesome, solid and had good vibes. I wanted to get permission to drop in. Professor Gabe said it was no problem and that I was welcome. I was looking at Base's BJJ schedule and Lubbock is so lucky to have a legit BJJ school with SO MANY classes throughout the week. I've been training for 7 years and started at age 40. BJJ is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It is so physically and mentally challenging. There is a cliché in BJJ that "BJJ will change your life". That cliché is so true. When you are on the mats your entire focus is on BJJ. You are not thinking about work, kids, or any of your daily stresses. BJJ is vital for my physical and mental well being. Dropped in from Denver for a wedding and reached out to the team at Base about getting a roll in. Professor Gabe was super welcoming and his entire team was a lot of fun to work with. Enjoyed the open mat as I was able to work through moves that have been holding me up and holding me back. Would recommend this school to anyone local or otherwise that is in search of a clean and fun place to get a sweat in

Base is our gym home away from home. Gabe and Greg are amazing coaches with so much knowledge but also very down to earth. The other members of staff are so nice and welcoming as well. They’ve got great students to train with and visiting their gym is always a breath of fresh air.

Great place to train with a ton of mat space. Tons of skilled people to get some solid rolls in with. Everyone seemed eager to show their techniques and encouraged me to keep trying being the new guy.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this academy. They have an amazing kids program, a badass competition community, great communication through social media, and much more. Mostly the people that train here are awesome and I love Gabe and Greg the head instructors - they run an all around great gym. Go train here people :)

Great environment for adults and Gabe and Greg are also amazing with the kids. I have been to many other BJJ gyms and this one definitely stands out amongst the rest in terms of quality of coaching and environment. Can’t say enough good things!
