I’ve been going here for a year now and I have nothing to say except GREAT THINGS! There is one gentle man that always thanks me for coming in (I assume the manager) and such a friendly staff this place has. So thankful for this place and the ability to work on my fitness at a comfortable location. Thank you Tru Fit :)

Overall, the facilities are very nice but DO NOT take advantage of any promotions or sign up if you are not 100% positive you want a long-term membership. They will make every attempt to scam you out of your money. I signed up for a 7-day free trial and went to cancel on the 4th day. Due to some miscommunication, I was signed up for a standard membership and I had to submit a 45-day notice to cancel since I did not cancel withing 3 days. Then later I noticed I was being charged after 45 days and was eventually told a membership cannot be cancelled in the first 90 days, so I had to pay that full amount plus some annual charge I was never told about. During all this time, I made many phone calls back and forth with corporate and the club with everyone telling me it's the other's job. I spoke to the GM and many employees and none of them would do anything for me. I even asked for a copy of the contract I signed, and I was never given it. When I finally got an email address for the club's admin, they claimed they had no cancellation form on file and could not give me a refund "but out of courtesy, they will stop the payments". I then send a picture of the signed cancellation form that I took when I submitted it and they said they would look into the account. After many follow ups and weeks later, they refuse to respond. It's a shame it had to come to me leaving a bad review because I am a very understanding and patient person, but after fighting this for months, I was scammed out of $300 for a free trial.

When I recently went to Trufit to sign up for a membership I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was assisted by Ken who was very friendly and helpful. While I was signing up I was informed that I get a free digital scan and three free sessions with a Personal Trainer that were included with my new membership. Then I was sent to talk to Jake who I was told is more or less in charge of all the Personal Trainer things and whatnot and he was also very friendly and welcoming. I told him I was NOT interested in signing up or committing to anything right now whatsoever atleast not until I did my three free sessions first and he told me that was fine and that he understood before he told me he just wanted to give me more information and went into more detail about the program and the 3D scans and we ended up talking for a while longer before I signed paperwork and was told it was for my scans and my three free sessions and safety waivers and whatnot. I left feeling really good about the gym and my membership UNTIL I realized my account was being drafted $155 every TWO WEEKS!! When Jake was talking to me I made SURE he understood I did NOT want to sign up for a personal trainer right now and at that when he gave me the information I was told it was only $99/bi-weekly so once I noticed the charges and how much I went up there to try and speak with Jake and get to the bottom of it and he wasn't there. I was told he was out sick and that I could speak with Justin but that he was on the phone so I waited for 45minutes before I had to use the restroom and when I came back I was told I had missed him. I have gone back as many times as I could after that and somehow am being told by different employees that I keep missing Jake and that there isn't anyone else I can speak to about my issue/concerns. I am a single mother of three with one source of income and I feel like I was completely taken advantage of! I cannot afford to have so much money taken from my account every two weeks that I never agreed to. I really thought they took care of me, they made me feel so welcome and everyone was so nice just for me to be lied to and be put in a serious financial bind and then given the run around. I am at a complete loss for words. I can’t even begin to express how unbelievably upset I am about the whole situation!

Ken Lindsey was the representative that gave me a tour of the facility and signed me up for a membership. He made me feel at home the moment I walked in. Gyms in the past have seemed intimidating, but I already felt like I was a part of the family once I walked through the door. Ken explained all of the membership options to me and helped me pick the right one for me, the Results+. He helped me understand every part of the contract and the annual fee and even got me signed up for a first time session with a personal trainer. I look forward to starting my fitness journey in this place.

They are really sweet and the gym is really nice. Price is perfect for everything included with the membership. I love the staff! Ken was real sweet and funny guy. Best gym is Lubbock by far.Update: it’s been a few months now and I asked them ahead of time to cancel my membership for personal reasons. They’re continuing to take money from me over and over again. People don’t have money for stuff like this now and days and these people like to just take. It’s all lies and this gym and business is terrible honestly. They wouldn’t even try to help me with customer service. Never going back and never telling anyone I know it was a good place to go.

I have always been so insecure about going to the gym and Emili at the front, made me feel so secure about beginning my gym journey💪🏼. She walked me through everything very thoroughly and told me she would be there if I needed her. How sweet! The facilities were very clean and overall a great atmosphere. I was very pleased with it being my first time at TruFit. Great place to start your fitness journey.

Super clean facility and super friendly staff!! We are in town for the boxing tournament and it’s been an absolute blessing they have allowed us to train at their facility.
