I joined about 1.5 months ago (I decided not to renew my membership at a well-established higher-end local gym in town due to significant increase in price) and so far have been mostly pleased with Crunch. I have the base level membership and I work out 5 days per week, Crunch fits about 85-90% of my needs. I work out around 5:10AM and I can tell you in the past month, almost every week I see someone at Crunch who I used to see at my previous local gym. As such, it has been getting much more crowded for the AM workouts. I fear if this trend continues that sooner or later the things I enjoy about Crunch (relative ease of access to equipment and machines) may start to become more restrained.I want to clarify that my rating has nothing to do with how crowded the gym is becoming. Rather, the 4 stars is reflective of what Crunch offers as a gym to someone who uses a gym 5 mornings per week and at a VERY affordable price point. Crowdedness is not something I hold against them. That being said, the cleanliness of the men's lockeroomen's has been shown to have an inverse relationship to how crowded the gym has become. When I started it was always kept very clean and for about the past week it's become more and more littered.Overall I am very satisfied with Crunch. The staff is friendly, there are a handful of people who seem to use the personal trainers that work there, and the overall atmosphere is is a good one to exercise in.EDIT 7/31/23:Its Monday, gym is supposed to be open at 5:00AM. Got here around 5:30 and there's a crowd of people outside and the doors are locked. It's now 6:00 AM and I am leaving. Lights and TVs are all on but no one is here. I can tolerate a lot of things but not being open when you're supposed to, especially when people are counting on it, is absolutely, absolutely unacceptable. Have to be honest idk if I will stay if I can't count on this place to be open when it's supposed to be.Edit 2: a trainer finally showed up and called someone to get a code for the key for the front door.

Great gym equipment and turf area, but the lockers/bathrooms are a complete disaster. There is no room to change, and the bathrooms are always gross. The gym is randomly closed some mornings due to staff just not showing up. The staff that do show up are always incredibly friendly though. I already pay the premium rate, but I would gladly pay more if it meant hiring more staff.

Pretty cool place

Locker rooms are regularly trashed. They don't bother cleaning them and you should expect not to want to change there.

Newer gym (HUGE!) with a wide array of equipment like turf runs, sleds, smith machines, etc. staff is very friendly and welcoming. Only negative comment is that they seem to struggle keeping the sanitizing stations full, but overall it’s a great gym.

Crunch Fitness - Madison is a joke. The group fitness classes are overcrowded, making it difficult to follow along and receive personalized attention. lack of equipment's. It's a waste of time and money.

Nice facility and great place to get a workout. The manager, Joey, is worthless though. Waited 30 min to get a body scan since he had locked the door the previous night and did not give his employees a key. When he finally came in, he tried his key and it didn’t work. No apology for making me wait, nothing, he just walked away and and hid in his office. Didn’t even look at me. Poor excuse for a manager.

An Excellent value at $40 a month for a membership to a brand new facility with daycare. I wish childcare was for more than two kids, because some families do have 3 under 5. I also wish the Internet would work consistently. It works about half of the time, so don't expect to have WiFi for music/podcasts etc. My kids love going to the gym and it's nice that the childcare workers are consistently the same people, that helps kids feel more secure during dropoff. My little one (2 y/o) especially loves Marta who coos over him and treats him like family with lots of attention and snuggles.
