Good luck getting a workout in, too many people, all the equipment is taken by Giga Chads the entire time you’re there. If you’re a juice head you’ll be right at home, they fill the place. Do not come here, there at plenty of gyms in Madison with the same or better equipment that provide a better experience. Plus you are locked in a contract, wish I could cancel but I can’t. Beware of Princeton Club.

Great fitness club, various equipment and facilities, tons of activities and space. I always feel welcome there and am proud to be a member. Very clean, has a sauna, steam room resistance pool, lap pool, hot tub, tennis court, soccer field, basketball court and more.

I have been a member at Princeton West for over 15 years now. While I have been frustrated at the number of members not wearing masks, I am reupping my membership because of the flexibility they have with members who do not feel comfortable being in the gym with omicron still raging. My time away during the month of Jan. has been credited back to my account, and the clock will not start on my new renewed two year membership until I return. While I miss going to the gym I have appreciated all Princeton Club has done/is doing to mitigate the many different ways of responding to the pandemic. Just spoke with Kelly who answered all my questions before renewing. Happy to remain a member when they have been so flexible with a variety of member needs.

I have been a member for a number of years, but have not been there much for the last two years or so due to illness. I called to renew my membership. The staff member who helped me was friendly and well informed, and told me about a couple of things I wouldn't have known to ask about. I've definitely been happy with the facility so far.

Are you new in the area and want a fairly priced membership with plenty of value? Then for your own sake do not come to this gym. The cost of a mere three month membership is 250$ and for that price you don't get a towel service, any training sessions, a gym walkthrough, or even helpful service. In signing up for my membership I was made to wait for 35 minutes before a "representative" could help me, this is a gym membership, not a car buying experience. In addition to horrible service and lack of concern for the customer, you can count on downright costly service! Attached is a photo of a personal lock I brought to this gym to keep my valuables safe that I was forced to leave overnight due to floor cleaning in the locker room. When I came to unlock the lock and claim my valuables a mere 15 hours later it had been conveniently cut for me, no more need for a key!! The 24 hour policy didn't apply to me because another member that desperately wanted to use the public locker, when hundreds of others were available, reported the lock and got the final say on destroying my personal property. The lock pictured is a firearm lock and will be costly to replace. Thankfully however, the staff at this gym flat out couldn't have cared less! They didn't offer a temporary replacement lock nor even a "sorry". Needless to say, if you are here in Madison a short time, or even a long time, pick a gym with more services and better value such as anytime fitness or even planet fitness.

The staff at check in is extremely rude and never want to be bothered. They have harassed my daughter and ripped her membership card right out of her hand. I assume this has to do with them wanting their meathead members to not be bothered by a teenage girl. I called the manager right away and without knowing the story he sided with the front desk employee. I was blown away. There are no family friendly options when it comes to membership or summer options for teenagers like every other gym in area. The equipment is typically dirty and not cleaned as much as it should be. I would choose another gym. You're paying way more here for less service than other gyms in the area.

This is a review based on two different times that I was a member at the Princeton Club. From 2004 to 2010 I worked out regularly using their free weights, current pool, swimming pool, cardio equipment, basketball court and kid's club. The equipment was sufficient and the employees were nice and I always felt comfortable working out. Until one day I picked up a skin rash on my forearm. I reviewed what exercises I did, and it was clear that the triceps extension machine was the culprit. At that point I had worked out at various gyms for over 20 years and never picked up a fungus, but I guess it was bound to happen. A prescribed anti-fungal cream did the trick. I let my membership go in 2010, worked out a different gym for a few years for a change of pace and then signed back up again in 2019. Old habits die hard. It was noticeabley different. The employees weren't as friendly and the gym floor felt more congested. Unfortunately I picked up a rash again. This time it was on my leg, and I identified a leg machine. In case you're wondering, I'm usually good about cleaning the equipment before and after I use it. But as I've learned, the damp rag that sits on the disinfectant bottle that's been used all day long isn't a good idea and can just spread ick and germs all over the place. As you can imagine, I was quite frustrated, and I contacted them to discontinue my 2 year membership that was paid in advance. I asked them to reimburse me for the time I did not use (which was about one year), and they said no. I have been a business owner for 25+ years and that is not how you take care of your customer.

I had been a member here for several years but cancelled my membership when Covid hit. I missed this facility terribly because it is clean, sunny and has wonderful trainers, instructors and equipment. However, when I rejoined last week, I was disappointed to see that roughly half of the members are unmasked or partially masked (despite a county wide mask mandate). Most upsetting was seeing this club’s cleaning staff unmasked the entire hour I was there 3x last week. When I told the manager, he replied defensively saying “they get hot once in awhile and need to take it off; they’ve been doing a good job”. Buyer beware if you are immune compromised or expecting compliance with the county wide health mandate.

As a mom the childcare is more important to me than any other amenity. The girls working there are fabulous and know my kids by name. I’m super comfortable leaving them with them while I workout, and my oldest begs me to go back which is amazing! As for the gym, I think some of the equipment could be updated, the benches/bars remind me a lot of a gym on a military base we used to use, and that equipment was easily from the 70s.There’s lots of different areas to exercise which is great and I use the track more than I thought I would.

Okay, the gym itself is great! Although they really need to step up on the mask situation. There’s people walking around everywhere without a mask with nobody enforcing it. They should have an employee monitoring the workout area, Not a recommended place to go if you’re worried about Covid.
