My son has been with Martial Art Fitness Academy for half a year. He enjoys every minute of it. When I first visited here, a gentle man told me that his older son has been here for about 8 years and the younger one has been here for about 5 years. We plan to keep our son here as long as he likes it!

I attend this Martial Arts Fitness Academy, and am now a brown belt:black stripe. In the two years that I attended this Martial Arts, I have gotten stronger, faster, and more flexible. The teaching techniques that this school uses, though very similar for both children and adults, impress me. The light competitive spirit that pushes each student forward gives me relief from school and home life issues every time I have stepped into the classroom. Anytime I feel like I need to vent, the first place my mind wanders to is the MAFA school. However, I wish that the duration of the classes were longer... This is by far my favorite place to be, even if the ice cream shop across the street taunts me.

I have twin 6 year old boys that have gone there for the last few months and the instructors have been great at building their confidence and skills. We reviewed various schools and after meeting the instructors my wife felt that they understood how to work with our kids the best.I have seen improvements in coordination, self-confidence, and strength and the only thing I wish was an option would be for sign up for a free practice time on Saturdays that they could work on their skills they learned during classes.I would recommend this martial arts academy as a top choice.

This school is really awesome. my kid started more than a year back and he is doing very good with focus and attention. All the instructors are great and Mr OMAR you are awesome. my kid looks up to you and practically begs me to take to karate class every day.

Excellent instructors, very practical martial art form, friendly environment. Great for both kids and adults. In fact, I know some parents that signed up for classes with their kids (actually can be in the same class if kid is age 12+). Each week has a different theme that rotates within each month (e.g. sparring, technique, forms..), so if you're checking out the school, be sure to try out classes in different weeks. Some weeks will kick your butt, but some will be relatively laid-back.**********To reviewer fay--I am sorry your son had such a bad experience, but I don't know how that is "very difficult teaching behavior". According to your story, the other boy and your son were clearly denied rewards because they did not meet a particular (and reasonable) goal. Why would they be recognized if they didn't earn the reward? I sincerely hope you were not thinking this is an "everybody gets a trophy" school, because this is not. Most goals set in the school are not difficult to reach, but still need to be met to receive your belt, badge, etc. Omar is incredibly nice and I cannot imagine he would purposely leave your son upset. As a former over-sensitive kid myself, I hope your son finds something he enjoys! Personally I needed a bit of tough love to stick to my extra-curricular activities. If it weren't for my mom's insistence that I stick with ballet/piano/Girl Scouts despite being a huge crybaby, I would have accomplished nothing.
