Gym is clean, staff is friendly, and fellow athletes are courteous. Nothing fancy, but my needs are met and they offer a student discount. Would definitely reccomend.

BHAC Brookline Village is the best! The friendly, welcoming atmosphere has helped me not to be so intimated to work out as in a larger gym. The staff is approachable and knowledgable. They are very helpful with teaching me how different equipment works, as well as, keep the space very clean. I highly recommend this neighborhood gym. It fits right into the tight-knit Brookline Village feel.

Decent gym. Not too smelly. I think however there should be more kalestinec space versus generic standard weight machine. Also there should be more protective pads and ergonomic grips for the machine to preclude injury. Customer service is okay at best. Trainers usually consumed with clients. But little attention is given to general population who often are doing exercises incorrectly.

I love this gym. The staff is very nice and it has all of the equipment I need as long as I don't go during peak hours which are about 5 to 7 PM. There are also many free classes that I haven't fully taken advantage if, but it's great to have all of those options!

Pros: It's a small neighborhood gym but it has everything I need for my workouts. I usually go in the morning and the machines are available nearly all the time. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and I like seeing the same familiar faces every time. The location is great: It's a short walking distance from my home and from the T station. They offer personal training with skilled, professional trainers (Ryan, you're the best! Keep kicking my butt!).Cons: The showers often flood and the bathrooms are not always the cleanest. Broken machines/toilets take a while to get fixed.

It's a good gym and for the dues it's not bad. All the weight equipment is there that I need. I usually work out 3 days a week rotating between 6 different muscle groups. I'm normally able to use different machines at one time, which I know can be annoying for some, but I haven't had too many people ask to share. Of course I wouldn't mind, I'm not a dick. The membership comes with towel service, and any class they offer is included. Showers are also available, but I live pretty close so I've never used it. Staff is also friendly, and are always at the front desk.Good gym, nothing fancy, a step above the Y and planet fitness IMO.

I take classes here and I especially enjoy the ones with Brian and Max. I drop in for yoga occasionally and I like the pace of the classes. You can work up a sweat but there are modifications for people with different abilities. Overall, a nice facility, conveniently located near the green D like stop. Staff are great, you have the equipment you need. Some personal cons: wish there were more space for another squat rack and stretching - though you can use the group workout room to stretch when there aren't classes. Would recommend to others, especially because you can take advantage of other BHAC locations without extra charge like other Boston gyms clubs.
