Clean and efficient gym. Friendly staff and all the equipment you would need for a solid workout. Rates are fair too!

Got my membership here 3 wks ago. Nad the guy who opened my membership NEVER told me tha I had to buy a parking permit. 3 weeks I have been coming here, I have been parking at the same spot. Last night, my car gets towed and the gym does not take any accountability. Lee the supervisor at brookline location comes determined to not help me pay for the toe. How can they allow a toe company to toe from their own property and not take accountability. Plus, Lee asked me if I want to close my membership. That's the best this supervisor could do...close my membership. They lost a customer who had signed a 1 year membership with them. Bottomline is that they don't care about their customers. They do not reciprocate loyalty. Very poorly managed.

It's a good gym that has everything you'd want and expect. It's never too crowded. Average price range for Boston, maybe slightly better than average. Helpful staff

The staff is nice. The place is clean and there are lots of running / stair machines. The problem is that the weight area can be a little crowded, especially during peak hours. Then again thats a problem with any gym thats popular.Overall though I would say this place is a great gym especially for the price. Classes are also offered here.Parking in the lot requires extra money per month.

A very affordable, very laid back gym. This particular franchise is never very busy - I've been going there everyday for 4 months and there's never more than 25 people in there at once. The staff is friendly and always willing to come in before/after hours for personal training sessions.Complementary towels are available as well as free use of their lockers, showers and sauna.I'd highly recommend this location!

The equipment is really nice, very few of the staff members are nice. I went to this gym for about a year and I was being bullied and harass by the manager, it's not really a teen friendly gym. It's small and over price!

POOR PHONE SIDE MANNER AT BROOKLINE TODAY....I've been paying for 3 memberships for the past 3-4 years. I wanted to cancel as at least two haven't been used for over 2 years and we were still being charged. I called today (4/27/16) just before opening to speak expecting to leave a message today. Surprisingly, a woman answered, Beacon Hill Athletic club. I related I knew it was before 6A but was happy to she picked up. I asked who I could speak to regarding cancelling a membership. Her tone immediately changed and said "I just walked in, the computers aren't on - you'll have to call back after 6." I replied "Ok, thank you" and she just hung up. No offer to take a name and number and to get back to me. I was a bit steamed by the experience and called back 2 minutes later. Jim answered and identified himself after stating the business name...When I asked to speak to the woman who I had just spoken to he figured I had called the wrong (Wellesley) store but said I could call and anyone over at the Brookline office should be able to help me. No talk about the computers not being on or other nonsense.I called brookline -still before opening- and first identified myself and asked with whom I was speaking. She just repeated the club name to which I asked for her name a second time. She identified herself as "Lee". I said Hi Lee, I had called earlier about the membership. I don't know if you know this but you hung up on me. Her response: No apology. She flat out just denied it. "No I didn't". To give her a second chance I repeated how the conversation went and she said "No, I said goodbye you just didn't hear me." I asked if she was calling me a liar to which her response was "Look, I don't have time for this and now I AM going to hang up on you." At which point i decided to hang up and write this review. Will see if I can call and speak to the actual owner....let's see what he says. WHY ANSWER THE PHONE IN THE FIRST PLACE IF YOU'RE PRESSURED FOR TIME??? WHY NOT LET IT GO TO VM AND ANSWER WHEN YOU'RE REALLY OPEN FOR BUSINESS AND FEEL YOU CAN BE COURTEOUS!Jim good work IS noted. Will see if the owner takes the time to look me up and actually call me back. I'll wait for the owner's response before I decide to cancel ALL the memberships instead of just the two I initially was looking into. Not sure if this call will happen. What I am sure about is that if an auto charge was denied, they'd be calling me back MOST promptly!

In late 2015 I knew I needed to get healthy again for myself and my family. I was nervous because I tried for years to work out at home and just could not find the motivation to stick with it. It was a constant struggle and I was down on myself for failing over and over again when I would start a fitness or nutrition regimen. I joined Beacon Hill Athletic Club in January of 2016 and immediately started taking Kettlebells, Tabata, Cardioboxing and a few other excellent classes. At 38 years old, I have never felt so motivated to push myself physically and mentally to get, and stay, in shape.I started Kelly's 10-Day challenge mid-February 2016. I was worried it would take up too much time (documenting, checking in, weighing food, etc.) in my already busy life (2 kids, work full-time+), but I completed it and lost over 9 lbs. in the short time. The 40/40/20 theory she uses is unlike any other plan I had ever seen and although my daily caloric intake was low, I trusted Kelly, and it turned out I learned the tools on how to eat a much more balanced diet. The high level of support Kelly provided throughout the program was just what I needed.BHAC in Brookline Village is small, non-intimidating, and great for people at any fitness level. I've belonged to a few other gyms in the area and this is by far the most welcoming, unpretentious, and inexpensive.
