The instructors are very friendly and informative. They have a keen eye for watching for bad habits that can form during practice and proper instructions on how to correct them. Having only attended for a couple weeks I feel a part of the Kobukan family its pretty awesome!

This establishment, is a loving family environment! Mr.Ron is a very honorable teacher, and his family is very kind! I was a former student of Mr.Ron. He is a fabulous teacher who had my best interests at heart, he taught me confidence, respect, and self defense that I carry on and use in my everyday life. This is the best place to teach your child self defense, and more because the world is a cruel place, and having someone who is patient, understanding, and teaching my child life skills! Mr Ron & Miss Lexi are great instructors. Our 2 boys look forward to every class. The instructors are patient, yet firm, with an obvious love for the art and a passion for sharing their knowledge. And they are very straight forward, certainly no bs from this school.

Ron and the other Instructors are great! My son is benefiting greatly from all that Karate has to offer. Discipline, direction and exercise. We love the staff, the gym and the instructors. They are patient, but stern, caring but tough. Just perfect for our little man!

I started attending adult kickboxing classes from a Groupon and was expecting to try out a few different places to see which I liked the most. The only other place I had tried was ILKB. And OMG I don't need to shop around anymore! This place is awesome! They work with you to teach you the proper positioning and movements and help you do things the right way. The classes are pretty small, so you get more feedback from the instructors and they're good at learning your limits and helping you improve and push past them. Everyone who works there is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable and like you belong there. Needless to say, I ended up signing up for a membership! I enjoy my workouts and look forward to going there.

We recently started at kobukan after a mundane experience with another studio. My son is 7, and likes wrestling ,fighting, karate, and minecraft, as any other 7 year old boy. He is learning the fundamentals of karate right now, being about 8 classes in to kobukan. He seems eager to learn and excited about going.Some of the pros at kobukan are they teach discipline and they have rules that are reviewed every class as to sustain structure in and out of the class. The instructors are able to hold the attention of the kids with a stern, attention grabbing approach, which i use myself, to keep the students focused on what they are learning, so they retain the information. After the first few classes my son already learned multiple, functional defense and attack techniques. Also a little of the Japanese language, which I think is great for learning different cultures. He actually knows what the word karate means. He retains information which is a big part of the instructors reviewing with them every class. Attendance is important, as we go twice a week now for a half hour class. Also reviewing with him on off days what he had learned keeps him interested and will help them advance a belt, which is his goal now. Also the games they incorporate at the end of the classes make the kids interact with each other and get them to want to come back. I look forward to him advancing and eventually going into grappling and jiu-jitsu which they also teach at kobukan. I highly recommended going to kobukan as it is more affordable than other dojos in the area and the approach kobukan has to teaching and instructing is more focused on actual instruction rather than just hitting a bag and running in circles. We can do that at home, like he already does.

I am a disabled veteran, who has been afforded the great opportunity to learn from this establishment how to push through my struggles and much more.... It is a great therapy for me and Coach Ron and all his staff, has such a warm, down to earth way of teaching... I'm hooked for life. I recommend Kobukan dojo to anyone looking for a positive and conscious compliment to life itself, because this is an art made for exploring ourselves inwardly and externally... God speed...

We take our three girls (4, 7, and 9 years old) there for Youth Brazilian Jui Jitsu class. The instructors have a lot of patients and the girls love it. Very kid friendly environment with a todler play area. Highly recommend this if you are thinking about putting your kid(s) in Martial Arts.

We have been going to this Dojo since April 2016, my son loves it and he's the shy type and as soon as he steps in the shyness stays outside, staff if very friendly and helpful, you literally become family. I would highly recommend Kobukan Martial arts to anyone that is looking for a place for their children as young as the age of 4.

Everyone is very friendly. The instructors are awesome especially with kids. My 7 year old son is shy and gets frustrated easily, but the class made him come out of his shell. He really enjoyed it!
