Edit: It seems many people in corporate are in the habit of lying. Concerns about Scott Matlock were raised before a response was made by the 10gym account stated they were unaware of any concerns regarding Scott. It also feels like the slew of recent positive reviews are in direct response to negative reviews.The regular staff at this location are wonderful. This review is not about them, it is about corporate and upper management.If you are looking for a gym, keep looking. The VP of Operations, Scott Matlock, is belligerent, hostile, and disrespectful. After having spoken with Karen Mellen in corporate regarding Scott's treatment of customers (not to mention he mistreats employees, as well), I felt like my concerns were going to be dismissed. Especially in light of how Scott lies when reporting accounts in which he is the aggressor. Considering the position he occupies in the company, the attempt to justify his behavior makes perfect sense, as does the gaslighting. When Karen was told of Scott's behavior and that he literally told a customer, verbatim, "don't give me any lip", her first reaction was to try to gaslight me, get defensive, and try to justify Scott's behavior. Doesn't inspire any confidence that anything will come from contacting corporate. I don't understand how hearing how hostile Scott is and how he treats customers and employees alike didn't raise a red flag with Karen, but avoid Scott at all costs, don't expect corporate to care how he behaves, and if you have an encounter with Scott, start searching for another gym because he will lie and cancel your membership. They also enjoyed throwing around figures for replacement dumbbells. If you're paying $1,000 for 2 dumbbells, you are terrible at your job.

The gym is clean and has lots of equipment and space so you can’t ask for much more. The head trainer, John, is a beast. Would definitely recommend joining and meeting with a trainer.

I did a few personal training sessions with John and he was great! He was attentive, positive, and motivated me to get through each workout and made me enjoy every second of it! Would definitely recommend booking a session with him!

Everything you need except a heavy bag. The staff is friendly, patrons seem to use the sterilization spray pretty consistently, and most re-rack their weights when they're done on a machine.Not overpopulated with college students camping on machines texting (like other gyms near by)

Great environment. Excellent employees with great customer service. John, one of the trainers got me on the right path I need. Also my kids loveeeee the daycare as well. Overall satisfied with my choice on a gym.

My real name is Joshua Cruz Rafael Figueroa, When i went toi the gym yesterday I had the district manager (Scott) yell at me for taking a set to failure and dropping the weights when finished, he said I broke his 100 lb weights, while he continued to yell at me I told him to stop. The weights are the same ones everyone has been using for two years, are still fully functional and somehow I broke them. The blatant disrespect this man showed when I not only apologized for dropping them and said I wouldn't do it again but he literally just kept berating me. Thank you Scott for ruining my favorite place to be. Time to find a new gym. If you steer clear of Scott, this gym is ok. Scott has anger issues and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Do yourself a favor and go to ANY I mean ANY other gym in Norman.Edit: they canceled my membership AFTER i left for the day yesterday, when i went in today to workout they told me my membership was invalid, i wasn't banned but i was canceled, they won't let me finish my month that i've paid for either. The absolute best part, is the manager and some of the workers said they absolutely HATE Scott, not a single employee at that establishment likes this guy.

John was so helpful . 10 Gym definitely chose the right guy for the job . Not only does he love what he does but he is a walking inspiration. John is real down to earth and 10 Gym is blessed to have him . Went in for a quick start and left with and entire new mindset ! 10/10 experience!

I had an amazing free hour with John! He was very understanding and made me feel very welcomed. I definitely recommend him to anyone needing a personal trainer he works with you around your obstacles and knows what he is doing for sure!

Went in for a training session with John. He was great. He really explained everything well as far as the workouts needed and how to set up an efficient meal plan that will work with my workouts to help me reach my goals. The gym was clean and staff was very friendly.

Signed up with Justin for personal training, he definitely will help you be a better you mind, body and spirit, best money ever spent . Highly recommend to go talk to him if you are serious about getting in shape.Highly recommend!!!!
