Odessa Family YMCA, located at 3001 E University Blvd, Odessa, TX, offers a range of activities for all ages, including swimming, karate, basketball, and more. The gym is community-centric, relying on donations and prioritizing inclusivity by not turning away individuals due to financial constraints. Their staff is known for being friendly and helpful, adding to a welcoming atmosphere.
However, there are concerns over the facility's maintenance, with reports of dated and unclean restrooms, and frequent equipment failures. Yesterday I was not allowed to use the facility because I was not wearing a mask from the front desk to the double doors but I was fine with that I cancelled my membership and wanted a refund for the month I had just paid for but my request for a refund was refused even though I just paid for it 6 days ago. Side note there were several employees not wearing masks when I entered the building at the front desk but I was asked to leave because I did not have one.Update :I tried to return to the YMCA to work out with a friend over a year later for the day but when I attempted to pay for a day pass I found out I was banned from the YMCA.

The women’s restrooms in the locker room are so dated and nasty the showers have mold which is so unhealthy and that locker room is the one you get for the expensive membership its supposed to be the cool locker room that has the steam room and jacuzzi which is all so gross

Odessa YMCA is a great place for programs for kids, adults, learning to exercise (swimming, karate basketball, team sports, etc.) Relying heavily on donations, this is also a great place to make charitable donations. No one is turned away for financial inability. They’ve done major updates recently and added a ton of workout equipment. The facility and customer service is top notch!

My 3 year old grandson loves the learning center. His teachers are wonderful. Actually, everyone there is great and that's what makes the school a success. My grandson looks forward to going everyday.
