Genesis Health Clubs - Olathe

My fiance and I signed up for a no contract month to month gym membership in February, thought it would be a good gym to try out, man was I wrong. Every time I came in to use the gym they would tell me I don't have a membership at the gym after they already charged me for the membership (on my fiance card instead of my card like we discussed). I would have to show them my receipt before going to lift, After the third time of doing this I decided to cancel our membership . I made sure to cancel the membership within the Three day window to get our refund back for the first month. Here it is end of march and they have charged us twice since "canceling" our membership resulting in over 180$ charged to my fiance card that has overdrawn her bank account. I went in a dozen times and talk to the Manage Bryce and every time he ensure me that something will be done and then I don't hear from him. Tried calling costumer service and they wont answer the phone either. On top of dealing with membership issues this gym is very small and there is a lot of over used run down gym equipment.

I frequent Genesis Merriam, Genesis 110th St and the Olathe Club mainly for training. Trainer Kevin shifted over from East Olathe and I went there as well.I've had numerous trainers over about 10 years from Genesis in Wichita and now here in Kansas City. Kevin is super focused on my fitness journey and extremely professional. He has now trained me for the past couple of years. My tennis and pickleball has never been better. and my fitness is the best of my life. Gotta go hit the gym now. Later.

This gym used to be my favorite location, but the constant turnover in management and staff has made it a negative place. The new staff is so hard pressed on hitting sales #s they harass members and are against groups of friends working out together. The rules change with the staff. They need to update the gym if they want to bring in new members, make it a lifting/CrossFit type gym. That's wanted in the community. It could be a great gym if they'd make a few changes and listen to what the members want. It's not personal training.

An absolutely brilliant place to workout at! A large assortment of machines and great spaces for stretching and free weights. And I will never forget to hit their sauna or steam room post workout. Definitely worth the price

Disgusted. As a guest I watched as a newcomer did not receive a tour yet the next person did. Body shaming is no way to run a gym. You need to fix this problem!

Great gym!! Plenty of cardio equipment and the weights are heavy. Couldn’t ask for more!

Great experience in searching for a gym. The Manager and Assistant Manager went above and beyond to assist. Because of them this gym is at the top of my list!

Hate to pay this much to show up on a Monday morning to a locked building at 7:15 AM. I wonder how many people’s morning was thrown off? Smh.In general, the only plus side of this gym is that it isn’t very crowded.Equipment is dated and a lot is broken. No towel service. Planet fitness would be cheaper and better quality.
