Genesis Health Clubs - Olathe

Update: they worked things out with me and refunded money.I signed up right before Covid hit and the gyms shut down, and shortly after that I moved out of state due to a family emergency. Before I left, I called and discussed the need to cancel the contract, then met in person to tell them more about my emergency and request. I was told they'd get back to me when I called, and when I met in person, too. Later when trying to rebuild my life they begin charging me again. I've called and nobody returns my calls ever. I'm still being charged. Unfortunately the emergency has compounded when evacuating Gulf Coast plus other ongoing family emergency. Obviously the money is more important than a person's well being to this company - ???

Great vibes every time i come here . I was hesitant at first but the non judge-mental atmosphere sealed the deal for my family and I . Great equipment and even better staff . Def recommend signing up , ask for Cody !!

I have had a great experience at this gym. The welcome desk is so nice and everyone is very friendly. I have especially loved doing personal training with Reuben. He does great workouts and teaches how to have good form on everything. Once I am done with his workouts, I really feel like I have accomplished something! I would really recommend working with him.

Worst Genesis location IMO. I’ve been a genesis member since 2012 except for a short period where I couldn’t afford it during grad school, and this was BY FAR the worst gym experience I’ve ever had out of the 12+ other Genesis gyms I’ve been to. Filthy, disgusting locker rooms; half the treadmills were broken and I had to try 4 before I finally found one that worked. No towels available—come on, even Planet Fitness has towels. I never leave google reviews, and I’m taking the time to leave this one because I know Genesis is much better than this. I will never come to this location again. If this was my first exposure to the Genesis brand, I would laugh in the face of anyone trying to sell me a membership here.

This is not what you expect to get when you join genesis.Pros hardly anyone ever working out there, probably for good reason. Decent selection of dumbbells. Staff is friendly.Cons: all the weight machines are old enough that cables are wearing/breaking, lbs marks are faded, Nearly every bench is cracked from age, every weight machine is ancient and 90% of them only have weight increases of 10-15 lbs with no options of a subtle increase. Locker room floors are gross! Hardly a selection for attachments for the machines.I could go on, really the only pro that keeps me even remotely interested in going to this gym is the fact it's empty. I've never counted more that 18 people in the gym at once, of course I can see why this is too. This place need a huge update on everything they have.

I recently switched to Gensis Health Clubs. I was thoroughly impressed with the positivity I was met with when I walked through the door. The club manager was beyond respectful and answered all of my questions. Even after getting the membership, I still had questions regarding upgrades to go to other gyms. The manager was very prompt in providing me answers. It was apparent that the club manager had my best interest in mind, specifically with my financial situation. That being said, I highly recommend this staff and gym.

I actually like going to this gym. I do hate how irresponsible they are to open, I love going to the gym and I plan my stressful days around it. So when I show up and it is closed when it supposed to be open (yesterday Saturday 7am, today 8am and at least 3 to 4 times in a 2 week frame when they supposed to open at 5am)Happens wayyyyy more than it should. I understand things happen. But the company gives zero Fs about it and their customers. Not the first time to bring that to their attention and I am sure it will not be the last.Just open on time please. It is really not that hard.

Not usually big on going to gyms, but this place has a great atmosphere. Didn't have any problems while I was there. Staff is friendly, and new management is great. Thanks for a positive experience!

I have had such a great experience at this gym! Very friendly and welcoming. I did a couple sessions with Reuben and he was awesome! Would definitely recommend working with him to anyone :)
