Crunch Fitness - Placentia

Continuing to charge my card despite cancellation. Very unprofessional. Spoke with Brandon Goldstein general manager. Initiating credit card dispute. Wish I would not have joined this gym.

I am giving crunch 5 stars because of Mary Cruz. She is working hard in keeping the machines, restrooms and the whole gym clean. The restrooms used to smell all the time and were extremely nasty. Thank you Mary Cruz I appreciate your work.

Good selection of equipment. The only drawback is people with no gym etiquette or self awareness. DO NOT sit on a machine looking at your phone between sets. Get up and move to the side and look at your phone/rest so someone else can work in. Its NOT your machine. You're not the only person working out, sweetie.

I had an unfortunate experience. Questionable checking account debits from Crunch. This is a nice gym, it was open during COVID and the kid at the front desk was super nice. I purchased 3 memberships during this period. We attended during the 2020, 2021 COVID seasons. Mid 2021, our home gym re-opened and my daughters went back to college out of state. I personally went into the gym, talked to the young man at the desk and canceled our memberships. I returned to my home gym which is closer to home. Although the young man assured me my membership was canceled and not to worry I just realized they decided to reinstate my membership without permission and billed me from October to July including two HUGE maintenance fees.I have been charged for nearly a YEAR! Also, hit for two 59.99 gym fees. As I PERSONALLY went in and CANCELED it seems questionable that this was a simple error. When I brought the situation to their attention, they refused to reimburse me after they reinstated my account without my permission. Furthermore, I was never notified of the reinstatement. I discovered it in July after they had taken 20/month for myself and my daughter plus 59.95 maintenance fees out of my account.Over $300 before I caught what they were doing.

This gym is constantly packed. I have never been to this gym when it is empty. However, this is just part of attending a gym. The reason I am giving this gym less than 5 stars is that I bought a package of personal training sessions. I was very happy with my trainer and results. However, I was unable to complete all of the sessions due to scheduling. Additionally, the gym was so packed that we would have to constalty wait to use equipment or change the plan that we had because equipment was taken and we wanted to maximize the time we had for training during the sessions. Waiting around seemed to eat up the time. It took my more than a month to get my refund on the last few sessions of the package. I ended up contacting the worporate headquarters for the refund, who sent me a check for the amount in the mail a couple days later. In the times that I attempted get in touch with someone to process the refund at that specific gym location, prior to contacting corporate, I would get redirected to different employees/managers at the facility (whether it was through email, phone, or in person). The response I would get was something to effect of "we'll check on that for you". After 6 weeks, I contacted corporate. This gym was not for me. Loved my trianer though. They were spectaular.

Great gym. I had a membership here for about a year and loved every workout! Moving from the area forces me to look for a place that will match the bar this place set.Plenty of machines for aerobic and strength, almost never had to wait for a single machine. Machines are always clean and well maintained. The building is just as good as shape.Staff is friendly and helpful, and the people who frequent Crunch Placentia are nice!Everyone from retired folk, college students, young adults, and high schoolers intersect and feel welcome.Price and the general vibes from other places had kept me from going to gyms in the past, but I felt right at home with Crunch.I wouldn’t hesitate to renew if I find myself in Fullerton again!

Temperature checks at the door, socially distant machines, and cleaning supplies to sanitize machines.

Friendly staff, no pressure sales. Shower needs new shower curtains

3 times in one week they don’t open their doors, I want my money back!!

Love the atmosphere and the functional fitness area in a separate room is rad.
