Anytime Fitness

It’s an ok franchise. More negatives than positions. Many facility issues for a larger company than can definitely afford to have them fixed (lights out, ceiling tiles stained, etc). They say clean off the equipment but paper towel dispensers are frequently out, with employees standing around talking during peak hours. Place feels like it’s managed and run by recent college grads at most. Facility is laid out VERY poorly and is very small for the traffic it gets. The studio area takes up far too much space and way too many cardio machines go fully unused. There are not enough plate weights for the equipment, if you’re squatting 315 you’re using almost every 45 pound plate in a 20 foot radius. The trainers are very nice and the place is fairly clean and secure though.

Seriously terrible, got charged for $160 and have called a number of times to get it fixed and even went in and talked to someone. Nobody apparently knows what it came from or why I got charged but yet nobody cares enough to fix it. I’ve been polite, patient, and nice about the situation. Avoid this gym, terrible people running it. So frustrating.

Training with 1 on 1s has given me a lot of knowledge I needed to boost my workouts. Very friendly staff and helpful. The gym is always clean and ran really well. Never busy so there’s always room to work with what I want to. Not being in the gym for almost 10 years and thinking about going back to a environment that was loud and full of heavy lifters slamming weights was not doing me any favors ha but coming into anytime fitness I feel comfortable all ages come here and you see alot of classes and on the spot coaching in this gym which just feels like a good environment. Highly recommended. One last piece when you sign up for a membership they have a 150 dollar cancellation fee within 12 months it doesn’t bother me but what does is when you sign the paper work they don’t mention it I could see some being surprised and caught off guard by it

I joined Anytime Fitness when I was 71...12 years ago. I love my gym! We have the BEST trainers...especially Josh!Thanks for keeping me YOUNG and healthy.

Love this facility and the personal training staff. They have helped me reach my goals and I have lost 75# in a year. They have nutritional guidance and strength training and great classes for all fitness levels.

Stay away ! This place is run by terrible people. They sell you lies to get you to sign a contract. You dont get a copy.. they supposedly got my 16 year old son to sign a contract although he is a minor. Now they are threatening to send a minor to collections. They have taken money out of his checking account without our approval.I have tried talking to them but they aren't returning my emails. Now I am getting a attorney involved. .UPDATE: the regional manager Matt reached out to me and agreed to refund my son's money to his checking account. I really appreciate that! Just wish it didn't have to go this far. The gym manager Ken was very rude and unprofessional.

I’ve been to many Anytimes. Brunswick is my favorite, the gym has a great GM, trainers, awesome culture and is fully equipped and then some!

Prior to 6 months ago, I despised exercising and going to the gym. However, I signed up at Anytime Fitness and started the group training classes and found Sean, a wonderful trainer! He's dedicated and believes in his clients. He is the reason for my success and dedication to continue on. Love Anytime Fitness and my now, Fitness Family!

Before I signed up, Patrick told me when I move to Florida in six months, I could cancel my membership with no obligation or cancel fees. He also said it would be cheaper than what they charged me. He stated the only way out of the contract is if you move. Everytime I called, they would string me along and tell me they would take care of it. Nothing was happening so I started calling again. I have called everyday this week and they don’t call me back. They said since I moved I have to pay the buy out fee. So they continue to charge me $60 a month for a gym I haven’t used since early June. How bad is this gym that you have to lie to people to lock them into a contract. I also have no paperwork stating anything, very unprofessional. I have called corporate and I will not stop until I get this resolved.

This is an ok gym. Good for a quick fix. If your in need of a trainer you will find a good one for free weights here. They do not like or promote cardio. They also do not fix there equipment. The staff seems to be disconnected with the management. The gym is small and over price. If your local across the street the community center has more equipment at a much better price but it's not 24/7. They are also supportive of the military. Over all it's a gym, not well maintained, and the large free weight room will be full of classes from 6 to 8 so if you really want to workout alone go across the street, if you need/want direct support to look good go here. Not a functional fitness gym, very much a get toned gym. Hope this helps.
