My experience with the staff has been just fine (which is why this is 2 stars and not 1), but the facilities leave a ton to be desired. Moldy showers with damaged shower heads, no paper towels ever in the restrooms, gym equipment constantly failing and when you only have one of the machines you want to use, that’s a problem. Their POS system has been “down” twice in the last week and I wasn’t able to buy pre/post workout drinks, their vending machine is always broken and when it works it never works with Apple Pay anyways, it seems they finally fixed the water fountains which were in varying states of broken for the last six month. AC never cold enough on hot summer days…and what’s with the ants? They constantly have ants, it’s strange. Can we talk about the biggest problem? It’s not a 24 hour fitness - it closes at 10pm and opens at 5am. Found that out the hard way. Your signs are false advertisement and you should be forced to change your name to 17 Hour Fitness.

Tried to cancel a membership I paid for in advance for one year. Was told manager wasn't there so I should come back later. When I returned, manager told me I wouldn't get any refund, that unused fees were not prorated! I would never have paid for a year in advance had I known this. I will have to check the contract, but assuming it's probably true - is just that they never mentioned this when I signed up and they took my money. They should be required to tell customers that there's no refund. They were in a hurry when I signed up, I could've read the fine print, but felt very uncomfortable when the salesman said it's just the typical legal stuff... My bad for not insisting on reading every word, but again, they should give a full disclosure. Utility companies, cell phone companies, etc. all read this info to the customer before taking your money. This should be no exception. Rude to me on top of it. Will never go there again, had been using this gym for many years.

I signed up for 24 hour fitness not 5-9 fitness. Never going here again, way too overpriced and no benefits like BEING OPEN 24 HOURS FOR FITNESS.....it's the freaking company name...

Don't advertise guest passes when you guys are not even honoring them. Wasting people's time driving out.Update: got a call from 24 fitness pleasanton personally to come back in with the guest pass for my friend and guess what? Still got denied on his three day pass? Seriously this is horrible. Will cancel my membership with a company that can't even honor their words.

The place isn't exactly clean and it's impossible to find weights because people move them all over the gym and no one puts them back. You'd think the staff would reset the mess once in a while but I've been going here for 4 months and nothing has changed.

Nice gym. Most of the weights are actually put back on the racks. Lots of equipment. 4 nice squat platforms and a couple older racks. Minus one star for unmasked half repping knuckleheads.

The areas most OKAY gym. It has everything you need for a good workout.Cable Machine situation is pretty poor. Not a great choice for grip variety.DB rack is a mess every day. Hard to find a lot of weights under 40lbs.Machine selection is ok.Livermore and San Ramon locations are much better across the board if you're looking for a new gym.

Been going here since 2014 in Pleasanton. Overall, decent gym, clean and lots of equipment. 24 hour fitness has chosen moving forward to not have the kids club anymore which is a huge problem for me being a single parent. I will probably have to start looking for another gym that can watch kids while I workout.
