Beforehand I wrote a negative due to some very rude staff members. But thankfully planet fitness got rid of them and replaced them with a whole new team. Everyone now is so nice and remembers my face, I'm very happy to go to this gym

I like this Planet Fitness you can get a good deal on memberships at any Planet Fitness but you have to be careful that you're Join one that you would like. Each Planet Fitness is different from the next although of course as a franchise the basic things remain the same. Find one with good parking. Find one that is in a safe location if you go late at night. Find one close to your house to make it easy to get there. No excuses :-)

Closes too early on the weekends. Good luck finding a bench during regular hours. There is always some panty waste doing some ridiculous exercise on there (not benching) and people get on a machine and sit on their butt for 20 minutes between sets of 2 or 3 reps. I do a whole workout before one of those clowns gets off a machine I want to use, playing on his phone between sets. A lot of old geezers in there to socialize between doing their quarter range of motion lifts. Not the gym for serious weightlifters because the culture there is kind of pitiful. More for the average go with the flow type of person. During regular day hours, the place is packed to the gills, making it difficult to do what you want to do. Staff is better than the other reviews are making them out to be. Are you there to workout or jaw with the staff? Overall, below average. I have been a member of several other gyms.

Equipment is actually quite good. Administratively, they are worse than inept. Was told one thing when I signed up, then when I read the contract, realized the employee had NO idea what she was talking about. She said I wouldn't be charged the annual fee if I cancelled by a particular date. That was totally wrong. Annual fee was charged. Then, they told me to come in and cancel on a certain day, which I did. The following month, membership fee was deducted from my account. I called to ensure it got refunded. Not once, not twice, but FOUR times! Each time, I was told someone would call me back, including the regional manager! NO CALL BACK! Ridiculous. Employees clearly do not care about their customers. FINALLY I was able to talk to an "assistant manager" today, when I called for the fifth time. She asked me if I would like to cancel my membership!!!! Whattt???? I did that on May 23rd! Really, all they had to do was refund the $10.60. Obviously, they are in serious financial trouble if they would rather get a BBB complaint and terrible social media reviews than just refund the $10.60. Awful customer service. Nice to your face, but can't believe a word they say!

I read so many reviews before trying Planet Fitness, and to be honest, I didn't expect to have such a great experience! They know me by name, offer free fitness coaching, and make it easy to plan for success. Even at their busiest times, I never have to wait on a machine. I've been a customer for 3 months with just the $10/mo membership. You definitely get your monies worth! I do wish they had childcare options, but aside from that, its always clean, comfortable, and an enjoyable experience. The staff and facility are great!

Price is key. The equipment is decent. The staff is young and friendly for the most part. Manager loves the lunk alarm... Very annoying and a turn off, but for 10 a month you can't beat it.

Completely ridiculous and not true to the company brand. My husband and I have been members for a few weeks. He is a weight lifter, so we were a little worried about being stereotyped. The first day we were there, he was approached and told that he was dropping the weights too loudly. He wasn't. The weights are heavy and hit the padded ground harder sometimes. He was trying to be careful, but that wasn't enough. We got over the awkward moment and continued going, making sure to be even more careful. However, today we were there and watched a woman dressed in a sports bra that was also incredibly low cut and a small pair of shorts. Even the employees agreed she was dressed inappropriately. The dress code sign says no string tank tops. She obviously had significantly less. Now this wouldn't normally bother me. I was working out at LA Fitness before switching here, and there are plenty of women who dress like that. However, she was not in there to work out. She pretended to do so by doing one to three reps of any body weight exercise and then stopped. She stood by the weight machines wondering what to do for a bit. Then she chose the elliptical and never broke a sweat. She then proceeded to pose in the mirror with a guy for literally ten minutes. Flexing and everything. For ten minutes straight. While this was going on, which was clearly in violation of what Planet Fitness is supposed to represent, the lunk alarm went off several times while a skinny male struggled to actually work out. He wasn't trying to attract attention to himself.I mentioned this to the employees, who agreed that it was wrong. One employee called the district manager, who told him they can't do anything about it. Funny, because I remember an article about how Planet Fitness kicked a pregnant woman out for showing less than two inches of her stomach. The employee told me the district manager said she would contact me regarding the situation very soon. That was earlier today, and I never heard anything.Their brand is a joke and obviously doesn't actually matter to any of them. I switched because it costs less and has tanning. I would gladly pay extra to stay at LA Fitness, where I never felt uncomfortable.

There are a lot of negative reviews on here, but I believe this Planet Fitness has new management since then. All of the employees I've run into here have been nothing but friendly and helpful. I've never had any problems with anyone. The whole idea behind Planet Fitness is what I love the most. I always hated going to other gyms where there were gigantic, steroid-injected meat-heads, grunting and dropping weights and even looking down on you because you weren't one of them. Planet Fitness will ring the "Lunk Alarm" if they hear any dropped weights or grunts. They are a "Judgement Free Zone".The current personal trainer knows what he's doing. He's extremely friendly and his services are free with your membership. Unfortunately that means he's available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but I don't mind that simply because I don't have the money for a traditional personal trainer anyway. Often times you can get together with other people using the trainer for a group training session.Equipment wise they have a good selection of machines and free-weights. If you sign up for a membership (you can't beat the low membership fee by the way), you'll want to ask when their busiest times are and try to avoid them. I've never seen their weight and cardio machines completely full, but this will be most important if you use a lot of free-weights in your workout.

This place seems more than adequate to me. I've used it several times. It's very basic. One should wisely avoid peak times. The price is right. The staff treated me with the same courtesy and respect I afforded them. They were very pleasant.

I just got done reading the reviews below and I have to agree with the majority. This place is not managed well. As for being nice or polite, workout places or gyms are a dime a dozen and if they can't be polite enough to take care of their customers, they WILL be going out of business. Apparently the owner of this franchise has enough money that they don't care how it is run.
