The facility is amazing and the staff is super! But you should know that this Y is not connected to any other Y.

This ymca sucks I joined greenbrier ymca they where good. i started going to great bridge Y and they where great but this Ymca is less then a mile away from my new resident and it is out dated. You spray a paper towel with disinfect spray most ymca have wipes. Machines are old limited space in all areas except for gymnasium this is actually the best part of gym but the young boys hog that. I can say that the old people here seem to love it and it's cool to see them still getting it. if your old this is perfect y for you. They can't scan you in with cell phone app they have to touch my phone an manually enter it. Staff isn't as friendly as greenbrier or great bridge. The Taylor road Ymca is 3 times as far as this one but if I want a good work out with up to date machines this where I go this Y is more so if I just don't feel like going but it's so close I have no excuse to not go.

Don't plan on getting a welcomed experience if you're a member of a different YMCA. Supervisor by the name of James was extremely vocal in his address towards my family that we are guest here from Taylor Bend YMCA. How can they run a business and claim they honor other YMCA memberships but then treat their Outside YMCA members like they're an inconvenience.

I love that it's small. The staff is friendly, and it's clean, plus the baby to helper ratio is small in the nursery. Two pools, hot tubs and saunas in the locker rooms.

I am hoping to be able to change my review in a few weeks but had to share my experience with others. It took this facility three weeks to change my membership from Blocker YMCA (which I loved), to their facility...even though two years ago, it only took Blocker one day to get me set up with a new membership. I was sent home TWICE by this facility's front desk staff because they "couldn't help me"..This last time I even left, and then called from the car to speak to someone else and Erin got on the phone and straightened the issue out. The front desk associates didn't even ask her to come assist when I came in to sort the issue out and were content to send me home with no answers. I am still giving this facility a chance, because I believe in the Y and I love working out in a family friendly environment, but I hope they retrain and educate their staff on how to deal with member issues that arise. They should look to Blocker as a model on how to deal with internal questions and issues.
