Very nice gym.. Has great variety from cardio, machine, free weights and CrossFit theme equipment. Price is crazy cheap for all of $10 a month.

No wifi in 2019. Even with having unlimited data on Verizon the cell coverage cuts out. Leaking ceilings and false advertisement on fees. For $10 its a good deal. If you pay for anything else, you are getting ripped off.

I’m not sure how people can give this place bad reviews. It is hands-down the nicest gym in Redding. It’s super clean and the staff are friendly. There’s also tons of space to work out and machines are placed far apart which is rare to find.

I chose this gym because they are close, have a range of programs and pricing and seemed reasonable. Now, I’m stuck paying for a Six Month Training Program I never agreed to. In fact it was told to me as a monthly basis. And no matter how many times I’ve tried to talk to the manager, to call the corporate number or even contact HR and the VP I’m told it’s non changeable. And I know I’m not the only one dealing with this including new members under fixed income. This is horribly wrong and not at all a contract I agreed to or signed up for. I don’t even have a terms of agreement page they offer or send or sign to.

Nice gym, I never had any issues until I tried to change my membership. I signed up for the “premium” membership so I could check out the classes. Turns out I don’t want the classes so I asked to change to less expensive membership. I was told there is a “downgrade fee” of $60.00. WTF I was told I can change at any time, no mention of a fee.

I had a love/hate experience with FitRepublic. Firstly, a disclaimer: Do not get a membership with them if you plan on moving out of town with the next year! I loved working out here; the facilities and the equipment were all in great condition. There were plenty of machines, one could do exercises to their hearts content. The locker rooms and showers were always kept clean. I didn't always have the best experience with staff, however. There was one morning that no one came to open up the gym, so I (as well as a bunch of other members) sat and waited in the parking lot. Granted, it was 5 in the morning, but it still shows a lack of professionalism that a staff member either forgot they were opening or just didn't want to get out of bed that morning. I waited 30 minutes before I just went back home, so who knows how much longer the rest of the members had to wait in the parking lot. But that experience doesn't compare to my experience with trying to merely cancel my membership! I started my membership with them in November of 2018, but when I was preparing to move out of Redding in October of 2019, when I tried to cancel the membership, they said that there would be fees on top of paying off the rest of the contract all at once, unless I waited until after the 1 year mark in November 2019. By this time, I had lived outside of Redding for 2 months, meaning I had to pay for 2 months of my membership without even being able to use it. When I finally got a hold of the manager over the phone, she said I had to make one final payment, as well as email her a written and signed document saying that I wanted to cancel. Overall, a ridiculous, far too drawn-out process. I'll never get a membership again with a gym that locks you in like FitRepublic does.

The people here are great and the facility is clean. Can't beat the price and no contract either. I would recommend this gym over all the gyms in Redding.
