The facility is new, clean and well-stocked with equipment. The limited experience I've had with service has been friendly.The free weight area is an absolute train wreck and eyesore. This has to be a tough thing to maintain, especially during peak hours, but it's in horrible shape. It falls more on the clientele than on staff during business, but good god it looks terrible. Aside from LOOKING like a mess, good luck trying to find matching weights for your plates or dumbells if you go in after work. Most of the equipment in the gym, while well maitained and clean, has some age on it, which is all the more evident in the disaster of a free weight area.That aside, very clean and functional with a great open floor plan "funtional fitness" area that's great for warm up/cool down/dynamic movement.

Awesome gym. My favorite thing about it is that they have a special "pink" room that is focused more torwards women and offers some additional privacy for those that want it. In general it's very clean and well kept. The staff is awesome too!

Love the place & the improvements. I always go early in the morning so dealing with a full location has never been an issue for me. Extremely clean, respectable staff & customers.If I could request or if there is one thing I wish they would consider adding are Keiser Air Advantage machines. Had my best workout in Vegas using those machines & the on the fly variable resistance is just awesome.

This fecility has improved alot. The staff has grown. I like how the gym was remodeled and the new equipment they added it's way better that what it was before. The only thing I would like Is a self check in; it's much faster and you don't have to wait to be checked in. This gym might be the best one in salinas. Great job on the improvements.

Great service, friendly members, very clean areas. Manager mark went out of his way to show me how to correctly use one of the machines on my very first day as a member at the gym. Greatly appreciated the customer service :)

This facility is great, but they need to stop hiring mediocre front desk associates. My experience was great up until today when a young girl with long hair was extremely rude to myself and a friend. She chose to not sign up because of this girl's condescending attitude. What a shame. I'm sure she won't be the first to leave to leave based on bad customer service

I like visiting the In Shape gyms when traveling around--especially when they are not too crowded. Typically the staff is very helpful, the gym is clean, and the selection of equipment and facilities is broad. The gym users are a relatively friendly group and the locker room is adequate--though it should probably be larger. I think the In Shape gyms offer a fair daily charge though I wish they would offer a 10 or 15 visit punch card.
