Tess is the trainer of me and my partner and she is AWESOME!!! She taught us a lot of exercises that we can do at home. She also sent us weekly work out plan, not only for work out training days but also for the rest of the week. She cares about our feelings and make good adjustments while training. I first heard of this facility through yelp and as it is ranked as one of the best personal trainers in San Diego, I decided to book for a consultation and immediately started training with Brett. Me and boyfriend signed up for the partner sessions but due to our availability our number one concern was trainer flexibility. That being said, Brett has been great and remained flexible regarding scheduling despite of his own busy schedule. In regards to training, it gets very tough especially if you’re a novice in working out but Brett always takes his time to educate on proper posture/technique and takes his time to explain why/how specific exercises can and will help with achieving your personal goals. On top of that Brett is very motivating pushing you through every training session. He also goes out of his way and texts you personalized meal plans, training plans, and even training session reminders. Initially, my boyfriend and I only signed up for 10 sessions but seeing as to how good Brett’s training plan is, we decided to sign up for personal training in this facility for 12 more months. This facility definitely does not disappoint!

Brett's a rare find as a trainer - he listens, has no ego, and makes you feel like a rockstar even when you're gassed from the volume workout he just made you do.I've received great feedback to correct my form in our workouts and he's great at keeping me motivated through our sessions. The attention I've received has been stellar and Brett's knowledge and experience of training is impressive, so I know I'm in good hands.In the past my biggest issue was going to the gym consistently, but training with Brett has been a breath of fresh air and has made something I normally dread into something I look forward in my day.If you want to feel like you're getting movie star attention - ask for Brett.

I started working out at the gym last December I had a consultation with Chelsey and she was very kind a d understanding I have a back injury from few years back a d I have to be very careful about what I do at the gym. Which was why I had put it off for so long. My blood pressure has been getting hight so I sat down with Chelsey and gave her my history. She new what I needed and started right away. Her workouts are amazing, I'm getting stronger, and no pain in my back. But I'm always sore from the workouts, she changes it up for me every couple weeks. Every workout I feel so happy after I'm done. She is a great listener knows her stuff and so sweet and kind. I would recommend her to anyone one who needs a new start or just to get back in the gym. She is punctual always asks about my workouts and gives great advice on training techniques and nutrition. The gym is very clean and has a nice environment, I'm very happy there and have had great health improvement since I started. I'm happy with Chelsey as my PT and the Iron Orr gym. Five stars!

I have worked out at Iron Orr Fitness fairly frequently over the past few months. Over my time there I had the privilege of meeting and being trained by Brett Wheeless. He is an awesome trainer, who really takes the time to study proper form on lifts and to coach at a level that is of the highest quality. Not to mention Iron Orr has a great facility that rivals the military facilities I have worked in across the nation. Nothing but accolades and honor for my man, thanks again Brett!

Chelsey is an amazing trainer who listens to her client's needs and adjusts the workouts accordingly! I'm noticeably stronger and leaner than before (all of my friends have commented on how much fitter I look, which is always a fantastic compliment). The whole team of trainers and the environment at Iron Orr are friendly and encouraging! Highly recommend Chelsey if you're looking for someone to motivate you to get strong and lean.

One big problem looking for a trainer is that of variance - you’re never quite sure if the trainer is taking you via the right path, teaching you the right form. However with Iron Orr fitness and Brett as your trainer, you can be sure you’re dealing with someone who knows his stuff.Prior to my stint at Iron Orr, I had never hit the gym and was rather sedentary in my lifestyle. The program crafted by Brett worked very well for me - he first first emphasized strengthening my weak muscle groups so that I could start doing weights with the right form. Over the last 6 odd months since I’ve started training, I’ve gained almost 15lbs of muscle, lost about 15lbs of fat and feel a lot stronger.Thanks to the stronger muscles and improved balance, I’ve also been able to run again, couldn’t for the last 2 odd years due to an ACL stretch. I’m very satisfied with my journey so far and look forward to continuing!
