Bay Club Courtside

The seat on one of the hydrow machines is broken and it doesn't slide easy. Needs to be fix. I know it will be fix fast.

Club has lots of good facilities, nice cafe and lovely place to swim or hit sauna too!

Great crew, curbside Bay area club has few outdated facilities, like female bathrooms, steam room, but the crew is what keeps it so awesome!

I had heard great things about the Bay Club from a coworker and wanted to check it out with a day pass offer advertised on the website. My friend and I booked a tour for 5 pm, it got moved to 7 pm with no notice and when we showed up almost 2 hours early, the front desk said that our tour guide had already left for the day. They tried to make it seem as if we just walked in and when we showed them the email confirmation of “them” switching it to 7 pm, they had no excuses and called in someone from back office to give us a tour. Unfortunately they did not know anything about the day pass offer nor did they give us any membership / club information. We asked for a pricing sheet and they said they didn’t have it and just gave us 2 business cards that were not his and said “ok bye”. It seemed that we were not welcome and wanted us to leave asap. We showed them the day pass offer on the Bay Club’s own website and finally the front desk guy said he did know about the day pass but that we would have to book an appointment to come in which makes no sense since we got multiple email confirmations about the appointment we ALREADY booked. Very disappointed with the experience and would not recommend other friends or people to join or visit this club again.

The offerings and scope of the Courtside Bay Club are amazingly wide. It you play a racquet sport like I do it’s THE club to belong. Pools are fabulous. All sorts of people are members - seems very inclusive. Everyone is super friendly, members, desk and cafe staff, summer camp counselors, instructors, coaches & membership guy Jericho - impressively friendly!! I’ve been a member for 6 weeks and LOVE it!

The older man who gave us a tour when THEY rescheduled it to a later time was rude as hell to me and my friend when we came for the tour and day pass. I am moving to the area soon and will not be going to this place with carpet that hadn’t been changed since 1992 🤣He literally told us we had to sign up again even though we already signed up! Gross. There are plenty of other clubs in the area worth your time and money.

Here’s a pretty cool life hack that the Bay club uses. Turn the air conditioner off to save money. When people in the gym complain that it’s too hot, turn the AC back on just to keep them quiet and then at the end of the day turn it back off for another month or two until they complain again then repeat.The absolute only perk at this club is that you get to spend a few hundred bucks on a gym membership so for people that are not serious about working out at least you can feel good about yourself that you spend money on your health. Other than that 24 hour fitness is a lot cleaner and better. I’ve seen the same garbage on the floor for over a year now. Every room has a nasty spunky smell. 5 thumbs down.

Dues have been raised twice in the last 6 months. I appreciate the opportunity to participate in the shared cost saving membership but I expect hot showers as part of basic service. I swim and going into the showers to learn there is no hot water several times in ONE week is unacceptable. The communication regarding what appears to be getting rapidly worse is almost non-existent. If the hot water goes down, they have a several social media presence they could use or send out a simple email. After many complaints from members of no notification until they get to the shower, they finally put up a sign yesterday at the front desk that the hot water was out for a 3rd time in a week. I’ve heard through the workers at the club that they knew about the issue 2 months ago and did not move to replace a needed expensive solution. Where is the CEO on this who sent us all an email about the latest price increase?
