Great strength training gym for folks who love weightlifting, or wanting to learn. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, small gym/class sizes makes for nice community feel too.

I always feel welcome at HSC. As a non athlete with less traditional fitness goals I was intimidated to join a gym but I am so glad that I did. Nicole is an amazing coach (so is Jessie! I worked with him a few times) and the rest of the staff are friendly and encouraging. Thank you to everyone at HSC for creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for me to learn about lifting and build strength at my own pace.

This is a little gem of a place. The people are so friendly and nice. I had never lifted weights at a rack so was looking for a PT, Austin has been fantastic listening and tuning the program. Has been super accommodating and flexible for my crazy schedule too. 10/10 would recommend

I have been working with Coach Shane at the gym for the last couple of months in small group sessions. It has been a great experience with clear goals and a varied exercise regimen witch keeps the workouts fresh and interesting. Everyone is very welcoming at the gym and I look forward to each one of my sessions!

I have been going to HSC for a few months now and the experience has been great. Shane is great to work with and his training has helped me improve my health a lot. When we first met he asked me about my goals and we designed a plan and he walked me through it. He always explains any workouts we are doing demonstrating the proper form which helps me get the best out of it.

I have been driving with my partner every week from Palo Alto to this gym to train in power lifting. It's been over a month now and I feel great! I am much more confident to go to higher weights when doing deadlift, squats, and bench presses!

I’ve been working out with Coach Shane for 9 weeks for sprint mechanics and football, and I’m impressed with some of the immediate results on-the-field. Coach Shane’s attention to detail, quality care, and communication are great! We recently just pinpointed some issues with my mechanics and he’s been having me work on fundamentals to progress through it. He really cares and values his athletes play well and long term health, so there’s a huge emphasis on mobility and plyo.Furthermore the gym has everything I’ve ever needed in terms of equipment in a gym. It’s clean. Staff are great. And they’re making it theirs. They also play awesome movies.

This is my first gym I've ever joined, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I'm a complete beginner, but Coach Austin was super patient with me, and he even tailored the workouts to my personal needs. Whenever I went skiing on the weekends, he would change the workouts during our personal training sessions to recover (or prepare) from skiing. Austin has so much expertise and knowledge on lifting safely and anatomy and diet strategies. He is super relatable and has a great sense of humor (check out his TikTok and Instagram pages!) Austin is also very flexible and adjusts to my schedule. I can easily reschedule my personal training sessions with him, if something comes up in my personal or work life. I can text him any questions I have. He uses Google Calendar to keep organized, which I truly appreciate because I live by my Google calendar. He also assigns me home workouts through an app, so I can stay consistent with my routine, and he also recommends what foods I should eat, so I can build muscle mass. The gym has all the equipment I need to start off lifting, and it is super close to my house. All the staff members are super kind, and the vibes are just great (chill and lowkey vibes). There is a small outdoor space in the back, and doing outdoor cardio on a sunny day is amazing. They play classic movies on the TV , and play classic music (R&B, rock, pop) which I love. I felt supported, and not shamed, as a beginner who is just trying to be more active and build a little bit of muscle mass. They offer a free trial session that includes an assessment of your body (weight, diet habits and everything). I'm sad to be moving away and changing gyms, but I can't wait to visit! Personal training with Austin has been overall great and I highly recommend! 5 stars!! :)

Hands down one of the best gyms I’ve experienced in my life. If you’re looking for a gym where the coaches are knowledgeable and supportive of your individual fitness goals then this is it. I’ve been coming here for two months now and the HSC staff are experts in all aspects of strength training and are dedicated to helping you achieve your personal best. Shoutout to Austin, Phillip, Nicole, and Kolin for leading the best small group classes!
