TLDR, the front desk and trainers are nice, the classes are fine, there are some hidden fees, and the cancellation policy is obnoxious. As a company, Orange Theory feels kind of like that gym in Friends that Chandler couldn't find a way to cancel. Some notes:Classes: The structure of the class is isn't bad—30 mins of treadmill work and 30 minutes of HITT (weight lifting and rowing). The music is good and instructors are nice. The orange lights are cool if that does it for you. Personally, I found that it got repetitive pretty quickly and there was a bit too much treadmill work to justify the price.Heart Monitor: When you do a free class, they let you use the heart monitor which is how you get your data on the main class screens. It's kind of the whole point of Orange Theory. If you want to use a heart monitor post sign up, you have to buy it. I can't remember the exact price, but it's over $100. You can also rent it for like $10 a class. The only time I tried to do that, they'd run out of rentals. I don't remember being told about having to buy it before I signed up, so it felt like a bait and switch to me.Cancellations: The cancellation policy is a huge bummer. When you want to cancel, you have to purchase another month after after your last payment before they will cancel it. So, even though I cancelled today in August, and my last payment was a couple of days ago. I'll have to pay for it until November. Super annoying. I will say, this clause was in the contract, so they won this round.I don't typically write reviews, but I felt personally wronged by the cancellation policy and wanted to try and spare Willow Glen from the same fate. If you're signing up, it might be worthwhile for you to ask them to strike that clause. Alternatively, you can write an equally long winded review when you incur a similar cancellation malfeasance down the road.

I was told that I could come in for an intro class but was denied entry since I was only 20 minutes early, not a full 30. There was literally no one there but the coach and front desk staff, but they refused to serve me. Very off putting.

Amazing place to get an intense workout. Friendly staff with positive vibes all around. Huge thumbs up to coach Adam who cares and takes the effort to make sure your form is correct.

A bit smaller space than the other San Jose OTF's but equally great staff and coaches.

Extremely intensive workout that is even addictive. I love the front desk team and the coaches who are thoughtful and considerate. I have been going for over a year and highly recommend it to anyone.

The trainers here are great, but the sales staff is only interested in your money. They push you to sign up after you take the trial class and once you sign up they don’t care. They responded quickly whenever I had any questions about membership up until I signed up, but when I wanted to cancel the account and try to reach them, they never responded. I had plans to travel for 2 months so wanted to freeze my account and they said it’s $20 to freeze per month(which they certainly did not mention at the time of signing up in spite of repeatedly asking if I can freeze my account while traveling, they said yes of course as long as you want, but never mentioned that I’d have to pay $20 to freeze per month) I’ve tried calling and texting multiple times but they don’t respond and just ghost you. On top of this they also want you to give a 30 day notice, which I did but still haven’t heard back from them and it’s so frustrating that they’ve made it so difficult to cancel the membership.

Everyone here is very professional & helpful. Justine, the manager gave me so much information during my first class and convinced me to sign up with her knowledge & professionalism, (I don’t regret it one bit) I’ve finally found a place I love when it comes to working out! Trainers are great and motivating.

Most of the coaches are engaging and filled with the energy that motivates students to push harder while providing a positive energy To each class. OrangeTheory Willow Glen has the best atmosphere of all the studios I’ve exercised in and I’m grateful it’s my home studio; keep up the great work! :-)

Very happy with my time at Orabge Theory so far. The coaches are great, and having a group setting around me has really helped me maintain motivation and drive to keep coming back. It's a bit on the pricy side, but worth the cost to have access to the gym and trainers that work hard to get to know you and help you keep pushing week after week.

The overall energy at OTF Willow Glen is fantastic! Starting from the moment you walk in, the staff at the front desk welcome you with a smile and are ready to quickly assign stations and answer questions. The studio is clean and the calendar is always up to date displaying themed classes, challenges and events. The coaches are outstanding and the music is upbeat and motivating. I personally enjoy edm and hip-hop so I especially enjoy playlists from Coach Cynthia, Keenan, and Skie. The coaches are friendly, encouraging and correct you if your form is off. Plenty of parking in the back too.
