This 24 is one of the only ones in the peninsula actually open 24 hours. Yes it’s dirty, yes the bathrooms smell and the toilets have pee all over it, yes people do not re rack their weights, and yes it’s crowded af at almost all hours from 7am-10pm and there’s literally lines for everything.BUT for $30 a month, what do you expect? It gets the job done and you can bring a few friends with the buddy pass. It has almost every machine you need and everything usually works for the most part. Most people are also kind if you ask to go after them on the machines. The staff are also nice and chill if you need anything/have questions. If you expect more and are willing to pay more, go to equinox or crunch.

The bathroom is consistently littered and dirty, and could use a lot more routine cleaning and enforcing etiquette, which unfortunately the staff seems disinterested in. Far cry from a few years ago. Had to document conditions from this morning.

There needs to be more supervision and swimming pool area. Especially with people walking out of the sunlight or steam room jumping into the pool.Did you go swimming be aware of the british swim schools. They're almost everyday there and push everybody else to swim in the far lane. Did you tell that for the recreation we used adult seniors are there for our health.

Wouldn't honor free day pass from their website, instead charged me $25

I have a complaint about the pool area: I saw people walking inside the pool area with their shoes, people coming from the streets walking with their dirty shoes around the pool area, this is disgusting… I hope the gym administrators take action on this

24 san mateo has what you need to get a good sweat on. Their bathrooms can use a lot of work.

Some of the equipment is old. Very busy all the time and it's hard to get some of the weights and machines. People are friendly enough go let you work in though. Which is a plus because it let's me take my rest.

I'm not a clean freak and I don't normally write negative reviews, but I really couldn't stomach this gym. The locker room smells awful, the bathrooms are dirty, chewed gum spit out on the multiple counters, garbage left in the shower stalls, garbage in the lockers, garbage in the toilet stalls...I felt so gross every time I left this place.

I hope the general manager can see this. On July 3 around 7 pm my friends and I went there however we were met by a very rude employee. I have been a member of 24 hours for 2 years and I know that sometimes I have gone with friends and that they let them enter for a day without paying so that they can analyze how the gym works and if they are convinced then they would pay a membership but that day was different because the employee flatly refused and not only that but my friends decided to pay but he was not there to help us, he left us with the screen to fill out the first part of the information and then other people arrived, apparently friends of him, and he went with them to a corner of the desk and he left us forgotten, my friend spoke to him to help us and he just turned to see us and ignored us. In the end we decided to leave because it is not fair that they are good at charging but do not give you a good service. Sad that 24 hours is losing its prestige…

- Extremely busy with extremely rude and entitled clientele, you will need hours to be able to finish a workout.- Extremely dirty, clientele and staff rarely care about the equipment clean up or bathrooms clean up- Weights are all over the place, If you need any weight between 10 lbs and 45 lbs, you will have to walk the whole gym trying to find it. You will never find them on the rack.- People just sit there on equipment scrolling or chatting with other people while a queue is forming to use the machine and they can’t care less.- Staff is extremely disinterested in any improvement or encouraging people to show better gym etiquette.I honestly think that this gym is a victim of corporate greed (there used to be two 24 hour fitness in the area - spreading out the load) and the neglect of staff because they can’t care less and can find jobs else where; couple that with rude and entitled clientele and you have a pretty bad gym that is unpleasant to go to.
