I canceled in 2019. Been charged since. Even during pandemic. Shady business. Charging even tho its obvious I havnt been using the facility. They don't act in good faith. They r a money grab business that doesn't care about customers.

Did not alert me that they were charging me after shutting down and reopening due to COVID. Just started up the charges again without telling us. We're cancelling. However, upon cancelling, we find that they've contracted out their cancellation services to a third party who is CHARGING US for cancelling our membership. Very unhappy with Fitness 19.

Everything is fineStaff are fineGood promotionsbut the trainers are not even training or trained correctly themselves. They don’t recognize if you make a mistake.Trashes would be filled to the point where the floor is filled with papersStaff hanging around usually 2 or 3 of them.

I would say solid 4.You absolutely get what you pay for.Apples to apples comparison- not comparing to a 24hr fitness- again- solid 4What keeps it from a 5-I see staff hanging out at the front (most very young) and they should be running around cleaning equipment- wipe down dusty machines, disinfect, wipe down the free weights, and NEVER let the sanitize wipe stations run out or overflow garbage. There is always 3-5 staff on site- so it's not a big ask-Otherwise, love it

Fitness 19 is a very cheap gym, probably the cheapest you could find in the Bay Area that's not a Planet Fitness. And their quality is reflected by that price point. The gym is just too small. Everything is crammed together. There are only 2 squat racks in this entire facility, and oftentimes people will be doing deadlifts or rows in front of the squat rack because there isn't enough space to have a separate deadlift area. There's only one lat pulldown machine, but it's such an important machine. Why is there only one? And why are there always three people using it? They could easily fit another squat rack and even a whole area for deadlifts if they got rid of like half the treadmills and cardio machines nobody ever uses. I'm not kidding, half of this gym is filled with treadmills and ellipticals and bikes that not a lot of people ever really use.People are always wasting time in between sets on equipment by going on their phones for 10 minutes. And yes, I get it. It's a gym. But I don't have all day. I'm not about to wait 45 minutes for the lat pulldown. Also, I don't get the vibe that the staff is here is really that knowledgable about fitness. For example, I received a tour of the gym before I signed up, and one employee showed me a section that had kettlebells. And they called them dumbbells. And I couldn't stop laughing. If you're trying to join a gym and you're only interested in cardio, then this is the gym for you. But if you're trying to actually put on muscle and/or lose fat, then save your time and spend extra on a real gym.

During the Pandemic I decided to give this gym a shot since it was close to my home. It provided me with what I needed for the most part but was always overcrowded with their restrooms shut down for a week every month or so.I got tired of the hassle of shutdown restrooms and overcrowdedness in a small gym so I canceled in June.I went up to the employee at the front desk who said he could cancel my membership with their manager, a curly hair blonde lady right next to him.I thought this would be the end of my bad experience only to find out they still have been charging me for my membership 2 months after with nothing I can do for a refund.Steer clear of this gym and pay a little more for a better gym rather than deal with the hassle and headache fitness 19.

Easily the worst gym I've ever been to. I can never get a proper workout in as I planned because one or more equipment will be taken. Despite this gym being quite small, they do all kinds of promotions to attract as many members as possible. The result is that this gym becomes a jungle with multiple people waiting for the same equipment/people stealing your equipment while you're using it and go get some water. Pay a bit more and go to a real gym.

Good price, everyone is friendly, appears small but I've never felt crowded...sometimes I have to wait a few minutes for the squat rack, but not a big deal.
