This place is riddled with fraudulent billing. Over 400$ in unauthorized charges. Luckily my bank said they have had multiple problems with this company and were able to take care of it. For fun Google "cancel crunch gym" you will find a wikihow that tells you to cancel it in person and email, then do it by regular mail, and also by phone. Once you cancel it those 4 ways it is recommended to tell your bank to put a stop payment vs crunch. Seriously Google it. Or look at all the recent reviews that all say the same

We moved away from the area due to COVID. I received an email less than 24 hours before this location decided to open up after COVID restrictions were raised. Immediately was charged for membership. Called the walnut creek location asking to have our membership cancelled and charges removed, but no luck...they can't do that. I spoke to 3 separate employees who were unable to help. I finally received an email address to forward my complaint to (a corporate Crunch account or something). After months of waiting, and after several friendly email bumps, I finally received a reply stating that my membership was cancelled(this took 3 months to cancel??), and that the charges would NOT be revoked. This is terrible business. This gym demonstrated they have zero control over their accounts, and care little about their members, and are just looking to take your money. I'll never be returning to a Crunch Fitness.

This particular location is not just a gym, but a wonderfully supportive community. Mike H. and Sarah C. who run this location go above and beyond for their members and do so with compassion and sincerity. I believe that they really strive to be impactful in the community they serve, especially during these difficult times. Thank you both for your professionalism and kindness. Crunch corporate should take notice.

Buyer be aware!!!! Horrible Service!!!! Fitness Manager Josue Montenegro is completely unprofessional, unethical & under no circumstances will he service you & I mean under no circumstances!!!!I purchased my 1st personal training session package completing it successfully. I purchased my 2nd package & hurt my back. I was out for over 3 weeks. I went to my doctor's & my doctorrecommended not to go back to the gym till further notice. I provided Josue Montenegro the Fitness Manager my doctor’s letter per his request. I asked him for my refund since I couldn’t use any of my sessions any longer. My doctor didn’t know when I could go back to the gym. Josue wouldn’t resolve this issue, making excuses every time, for 3 months and counting. He was unresponsive to my numerous emails & the 2 emails he did respond to took weeks! I literally mean it took him weeks to respond. He would tell me the administrator was looking into it. Then I would email & still no response. 2 months later & still no resolution. Then I found out from my personal trainer that Josue had no plans at all to refund my money back. I emailed him again, escalating the situation to corporate. Josue quickly responded stating that he would call me, yet he never called me. I had to keep escalating the issue. Finally, after 3 months he called me & told me that my doctor’s letter is vague & I would need to go back to my doctor’s, to get a more detailed letter. What he didn’t know is that my personal trainer had already told me that he told her, he would never refund me. So, all this time he was making me write emails, contact people, give him a doctor’s letter & even more sickening he asked me to go back to my doctor’s to get another more detail letter; he was not even thinking of refunding my money back! That is just sickening! He wasted 3 months of my time & now I have to take this to small claims court. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth when Crunch Fitness is so quick to charge your credit card, but when you need help or service they will not be there for you.

Good luck canceling your membership and expect a call from a debt collector even after canceling. I made multiple attempts to cancel my membership in person, on the phone, and via email. After finally canceling and confirming with the gym staff that my account was settled, I received multiple calls and letters from their debt collector saying that I still owed Crunch money. I contacted the gym and asked for a statement showing what I owed but never received clarification on why my account was overdue. After months of back and forth with Crunch and harassment from the debt collector, I finally just paid the alleged balance due. After this experience, I will never rejoin Crunch and recommend staying away from this chain of gyms.

I've been a member for about two weeks and so far I'm really liking this gym. Everyone has been friendly and professional, and it's generally not crowded even during busier times. They've got everything you could need, and everything is kept very clean. The locker rooms are generally spotless and well-stocked. Everyone wears masks. A+ so far, it feels great to be back in the gym.
