Allegiate is not just your normal gym. They do things defiantly. You just don't go there to workout and burn calories, they teach you how to take care of your body from preworkout movement, the workout and post workout streach. What I really appreciate from them is the level of care, they give every member. I have gone to many gyms/classes/boot camps, but have never been this satisfied with my workout when I stepped out. If you are looking to start working out and make a life lasting change to your life, I would highly recommend Allegiate.

Absolutely LOVE Allegiate. I've tried just about every workout program (Crossfit, Powerlifting, HIIT, Boxing, Yoga, Rowing, Biking, Swimming, etc...). While I've loved aspects of them all, Allegiate has really helped me achieve my goals in a realistic (and healthy) way, that's not about quick fixes. I've also worked out less hours, but achieved faster results AND avoided injuries. The coaches are excellent at correcting form as well which is rare to find. There's also different levels of programming depending on how advanced you are so there's room to grow up! LOVE this place!!!

Place wanted a justification for the 2 stars so here...To begin, there are a LOT of gyms in Santa Monica making it quite difficult to stand out. Allegiate starts off right to stand out with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They are the make-it-or-break-it of any business and they really help bring the gym out of one star...The issues arise from the small facilities, classes that don't offer much, and (the biggest sin) comparing themselves to Equinox. Saying your prices are "cheaper than Equinox" is not saying much when it's $220/month. In comparison, the average gym price is $120-$150 in Santa Monica. When the prices are outrageous, you would assume the workouts to be outrageous but you would wrong. They are just average 1hr classes encompassing designed workouts that won't really help you gain muscle, lose fat, etc. as they change every week without cycling back to those muscle groups. If they do, the instructor never made that clear.Speaking of the instructors, they are friendly and knowledgeable, but they sell that they will help tailor your goals and ask what do you need help in, such as recovery, lose weight, or gain mass, without actually any of the workouts reflecting that. Maybe they recommend classes? BUT the class variety isn't much and the thought still lingers that they are $220/month so now you feel like they need to be amazing and have tons of variety. Please, stop saying you're cheaper than Equinox... If not for your customers sake, the sake of your business...cause I just switched to a cheaper gym that really may not be amazing but fits the price. Maybe, I'll go back when people start to leave and Allegiate lowers their prices?P.S. also the gym is small so don't expect to do a workout by yourself if a class is going on

Professional coaching, systematized workouts, positive vibe from members and staff. Bottom line: the program and coaches take the guesswork out of strength training and give you a reliable path to improvement. Over the past few months here, I've mostly attended the "Strength" group classes, and have seen steady improvement in overall fitness. I've appreciated having a detailed, thought-out program to follow, a focus on range-of-motion, a performance-tracking system, and knowledgeable coaches who give feedback on technique and help clarify other aspects of meeting physical fitness goals.

Love this gym so far. The best strength and conditioning program I’ve been a part of. Very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly staff.I started coming here because I was getting injured doing other activities like jiu jitsu and surfing. Allegiate was exactly what I needed to heal and strengthen my body the right away. Each class starts with mobility work and corrective exercises before you start resistance training. Coaches are there to make sure your body position and form are correct.I just wish the gym was closer to where I live. My wife and I drive 30 minutes to this gym because we haven’t found anything like it closer to home. They’ve created a professional and welcoming vibe here. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
