Useless management. Was completely uncooperative when I was trying to cancel my account from the hospital stating I had to mail in a request. I have tried to cancel several times and they refuse to. I planned on renewing but will never do so now after this horrible experience.

It's a gym. Well equipped with most things. Lacking a bit on the core machines, if those are you thing you might have to wait a bit. Very busy during peak hours. They need another PF on the east side of Royal Oak.

Awesome place with unexpected surprises in equipment such as a wobble balance board, a 30 minute exercise room, stretch room, core room plus lots of machines, including some used in physical therapy. Provides lots of variety. Then you can use the hydroluxe massage chair before you leave.

I've been to SO many different gyms throughout the years and I've never witnessed anything remotely close to this just poor customer service. First experience was fine. Second time, an employee rudely told me I couldn't carry my small gym bag with me and had to put unlocked in a locker (didn't offer a solution like behind the counter but was just trying to prove a point with a not positive tone), I mean it's not an original story to have a gym bag at a gym smh, but I politely said ok and moved it to locker room. The 3rd time, walking in I literally was stopped in my tracks and was again rudely spoken to saying I wasn't allowed to bring in a gallon of water, what!! A gallon of water! Isn't promoting hydration during workouts proper gym etiquette and something that isn't frowned upon, but I guess she chose dehydration as a better alternative. I didn't want to cause any scene and just threw it away, but cmon a gallon of water?! What is the maximum capacity of water vessel that is allowed here? If it had a cute pink trendy bottle cover for it, would that be ok? They promote judgement free zone, but I have never seen such judgmental staff at a gym EVER! If you are looking for a good relaxed gym environment, I would stay far far away from this place and their extremely strict policies, I guess I would call it. I mean, my water was too big to bring in?!?! haha sooo strange!

There was a Derek and a Briana at the front desk tonight giving me a hard time about their “policies” tonight and threatening me to cancel my service. If they haven’t learned about customer service, here’s one for you my young little friends. I’m taking my business to LA Fitness where I can spend $20 a month and not have to deal with whatever policies they want to come up with to protect themselves without consideration for their guests. I actually asked the you g kid if he follows all of the policies that his manager has for him and he actually had the gall to say yes. Laughing my way to LA Fitness...

There are some really unfriendly staff at this location! The PT classes are obnoxiously intrusive on regular guests. Never had a problem with them at other places, but they have no problem blocking off a whole room or taking over the equipment you're already using here.

I tried cancelling my membership last week and was told I have to come in to do so. It would have been nice if they let me know to do it ASAP because I was about to get charged a $40 annual fee. They also did not let me know I could mail in a form to cancel my membership. As I got charged $40 for the next year and cancelled within a day of being charged, The GM refused to give me my money back. Doesn’t sound fair to me!!!! I will never go back here!

I've been to many different PF in Michigan! By far this is the best management and staff. Proud to call it my home gym. The manager on his hands and knees teaching staff how to clean machines! Great job guys and gals !

I love planet fitness but this location is nonchalant about members cleaning the treadmills before and after each use. I'm not sure about the employee cleaning schedule but I was there for over an hour and didn't see anyone wipe down equipment.If you're visiting be extra careful!
