Alan is amazing as a personal trainer! The gym is clean and most machines are always up and working or fixed quickly when they're down. I paid a $50 annual(?)/starting(?) fee and the monthly fee is $15 after that. Personal training is about $70 per session unless you do a six-month package. The gym has quite a variety of machines and yeah, it's pretty busy but you can catch some better hours if you have a flexible schedule.Onto Personal Trainer Alan: I got a personal trainer because I have an issue with my cardiovascular system that can be treated with endurance training and wanted safe exercises that wouldn't trigger symptoms. Alan knows a whole heck of a lot about exercising and set up a weekly plan for me to reach my goals quickly in the 8 weeks i decided to commit to and to give me options for ways to improve on my own in the future. You also can use the DotFit app to track workouts and find exercises between sessions and another app to track meals. Alan was able to come up with exercises that were all dynamic and different but didn't feel like they'd trigger my symptoms, and he always remembered to have me check my heart rate to ensure I didn't overdo myself and get hurt. I still felt very accomplished after every session, though, and pretty sore after the last one (not enough potassium on my part, oops). Not to mention he's really personable. He's very good at his job and I only wrote this review to recommend him to anyone else looking for a personal trainer.

My wife and I both belong to this gym and really like it. We are Silver Sneakers members. It is always very clean and the equipment is always maintained. True, sometimes things are down for repair but that it is not common and repairs are made quickly. I mention that because a previous comment said there was a big downtime for equipment. Not so. The staff is friendly and, even though my wife snd I are not signed up for any program, the coaches always take time to answer questions and provide guidance on how to use the equipment or direct you to which equipment will help you reach your goals. There are plenty of tread mills, elipticals, bikes, etc. Never have to wait. And the pool is great! The only things I would like to see are classes in tai chi. I think a lot of people would like this low-impact activity, especially the Silver Sneakers crowd.

I stopped by to check out this facility. I wasn’t able to get there to check it out and this location obnoxiously called me, text me, and emailed me AND my husband for days. I will NOT be joining this gym due to the high pressure sales put on my husband and I. I called to complain and have my contact info removed and was informed there was no guarantee calls would stop for up to a month so I’m forced to block everything related to this gym. I was simply trying to check out this gym but no one desires that kind of relentless contact from a GYM!!!

The gym itself is good but the personal training program was horrible. Firstly, I sign up for one month towards the end of December and I get charged for a second month in the beginning of January before even starting my first session! They refused to return my money for the second Month regardless if I had only signed up for one and by their mistake they charged me again. Their reasoning was “we still charge you the month for cancelling” even though they were aware that was their mistake signing me up for more than one month. Secondly, I signed up for the hour sessions and had to constantly remind the trainer since she kept scheduling me for half hours only. After the second session I gave up and just let them do the half hour although they charged me the one hour price and would receive less than my expectations of help for the price. Save your money, do not sign up for their training programs. Better spent elsewhere.

Going to start with the negative. The hours of operation are terrible. They used to be closed on Sunday, but now that has changed. I was recently kicked out of the gym at 7:45 PM because they closed at 8:00 PM on a Friday. I've never seen a gym close that early. People don't all live on one schedule and need to get a workout in. I would like to see this business extend hours. With the hours as of now I feel like you're just telling customers to go to Eagle Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness. The facility has great equipment and always looks clean. Staff is always polite and professional.

I used to attend this gym a few years ago, before the pandemic and it was all right. However, now the gym is constantly packed full of people a lot of the equipment is in disrepair And they need more plates for all the benches and equipment that they have. The amenities and classes aren't available as far as I know and The fact that they are closed on Sundays is a huge downside to me. However they're one of the only gyms around my house And other than not being able to get through my routine as quickly as I'd like I haven't had terrible of an expirience. That being said I am constantly on the lookout for something better

Had an appointment with manager a week in advance to reinstate our memberships. The manager was not there at 10 am for our appointment. She was not professional enough to explain our situate to another person. I refuse to explain our business to 4 people and was assured we would not have to pay any more than $10 a month. No $10 down. Not the case when we got there. You get what you pay for here. A lot of high school kids etc. This facility will not open their pool and blames the Governor for this. I call BS!Just got off phone with Sports West and they have the pool open there! A shame we are gonna have to drive into Reno a few times a week just to get a Gym that delivers what we are paying for.

This gym is nice and has really nice equipment. We joined for the pool. We have decided to cancel our membership due to health concerns and the fact we are not yawing the facility as often. We called the number for the sparks location and were on hold twice, once for over an hour and once for over an hour and a half. No one ever picked up the phone. We finally had to go to the location which meant we had to expose ourselves to the very thing we stopped using the gym for. The lady at the counter tried to up sell us instead of cancelling. We finally had to talk to a manager. The manager told us they would send an email with our cancellation, all the email said was out membership status had change, nothing about cancellation. When you want to join they have no trouble talking to you or answering the phone but when you want to cancel they don’t have time for you. Very unprofessional.

What can I say? Sparks Fitness Connection has always exceeded my expectations. Since day 1 that I started working out there, all the staff members have been super friendly and helpful whenever I have a question or simply greeting me as I walk in the door. I LOVE their basketball court. I love that there are more than 2 hoops so there can be various people playing. It is always very clean as well. The manager Ryan is such an awesome person. He is always so attentive with all the members and if anyone needs anything, he is the first one to jump up and help. Thanks Sparks Fitness Connection team for making it such an awesome environment!
