Crunch Fitness - St. Pete Northeast

Crunch as a whole operates using a predatory business model. This club is no different and nobody is helpful. Stay away, go to a smaller gym, these chains are bad news.

Not been real happy here lately. Way to busy & to many people hogging equipment & filming their workouts! I was on the treadmil the other day & jumped off because an employee was cleaning all over the machine. I felt super uncomfortable. But yet all the trash cans are over flowing.

This gym is just awful but there are no better options in the area. Biggest problem is that they allow way too many memberships and have no (enforced) rules around children working out unattended.The locker rooms are disgusting (they do try to clean, but just too many ppl) and one guy working there had to shut down the sauna for weeks because someone peed in it. They allow a ton of unattended high school kids that just cause constant havoc...I guess it's cheaper than a babysitter. Place is a disaster.

I'm very disappointed with the service at this gym. The manager is very disrespectful and unprofessional! I went in trying to close my membership and the manager Sebastian had a very bad attitude so when I mentioned to him that all I want to do is close my account he pretty much told me to leave the establishment because he felt like I was giving him attitude! This is the worst experience I ever had with a manager at a establishment.

Great selection of classes and machines... But don't expect to go on Monday or Tuesday and do what you want when you want to do it. It's super busy but if you can work around that, you're good.

Gym is very often unclean. In the morning you will find the custodian engaged in lengthy conversations or working out. Meanwhile, the locker rooms are dirty, paper towels are not filled, and disinfectant is empty.In regards to reply: I have informed the staff at the front desk each time. They have taken no action or told me to call later in the day when the manger is in. This, your solution is not helpful.

Update: I came back solely to double down and say that this is hands down one of the worst gym experiences out there and change my review to one star. No collars for the barbells, space to do...I dunno...anything? Lines for machines. Weights unorganized, dirty everything. This is truly nothing more than your run of the mill dogsh%t gym. They didn't do any market research, any homework...nothing. There's no good time to come here for a workout. You're guaranteed to leave frustrated/annoyed.I cannot put into words how absolutely stupid this gym is. It's big with great equipment...that you will rarely be able to use. Crunch didn't really do their due diligence on the area I guess. The best time to come is between 10pm and 4am. I've never attempted to work out in a more crowded, cramped, annoying gym. Trainers absolutely everywhere, lines for nearly every machine, and trash music that's so loud it will compete with your headphones. Also, they had the bright idea of opening this place in the same shopping center as a Publix...in Florida. Brilliant. Spend 15 min driving around looking for a parking spot then head inside to try to make your way through a workout where you'll improvise every step of the way since nothing is available to use. The only reason I continue to deal with the BS is the price.

Great gym! Great classes and a great facility actually. However, I'm only giving three stars because not only did I not receive, the physical fitness training promised me as in I was never scheduled after paying. When I tried to cancel they made me come in to sign a paper even though the assured me I could do it over the phone.Edit: after going into terminate the services not obtained. I found out that I was on a totally different payment schedule than the one I asked for. My only suggestion is don't take anyone's word while signing up for anything and make sure to read the agreement.

Place may be crowded, and parking may be hard. But all this should be expected, guys! The place is at a shopping center and its crowd is due to not only popularity in working out but the fact that there's only two locations in all of St Pete currently open. Hopefully, with Tyrone opening up, it will curve some of the standard complaints. FROM ME, I have none! Awesome staff, awesome equipment, shaded parking! And an awesome pizza place for the post workout session! 👌 keep up the great work staff

I think the crunch as a whole has great equipment and is a good gym. However, this location is so crowded and feels like a fire hazard with how packed it gets at times. I ended up wasting more time waiting for a bench or a machine to open up. Which is why I left to go to a less crowded gym. The Seminole location is significantly better because it doesn’t feel like a pack of sardines. Unfortunately that location is too far for me to go to.
