Crunch Fitness - St. Pete Northeast

This place is way too crowded at anytime of the day and they keep agressibly taking in new members, people rush to occupy a machine when there is one available, sometimes there is more than one member waiting for a single machine, usually I had to adapt my routine and skip exercises, they are also money grabers, they charge a minimun of 3 months along with an annual fee regardless of how long you keep your membership. very disappointing.

There is something very demotivating about a gym that is packed like a zoo regardless of time 5am-midnight. So much so that you always leave without completing everything you hoped and feeling like you cheated your workout because someone is always using every piece of equipment/rack. Simply put, it’s not a gym that encourages people being successful in reaching their goals. I guess that’s what happens when you market $9.99 a month with no sign up fee as a limited time offer, even though they have run that some promotion consecutively since they opened and still continue to do so. The number of active members I heard they have is ridiculous.

Large gym and great equipment BUT at the same time the gymis very often over crowded. I cant get a good workout in a timely manner. My only options are to ether go very early in the morning or late at night.

This is by far one of the nicest Crunch locations I have used. It far surpasses some of the locations that are small/cramped or in sketchy neighborhoods. In fact some of the nicest cars I have seen are in the parking lot of this one. Everything is new, which makes it feel clean & sanitary, but the staff is what makes it exceptional. Everyone is super nice, accommodating and helpful at all times. The gym is HUGE, which helps. There are so many options between machines, weights, classes, the tanning bed and massage chairs, the sauna. I have been very pleased with this Crunch Fitness location, even though it is ALWAYS busy. If you are looking for a convenient location, near shopping, dining, banking, pharmacy etc. This is the one.

I joined this gym back in May this year. And was told that I can keep a locker here. Well I walked in tonight and found out they cut off my lock. And I got the runaround on where my stuff is.I never received any email, phone call or regular mail about any policy changes at this gym. You guys should have sent out something to me or called.To the owner of this location. When you break into anything and remove stuff that doesn't belong to you from someone. That shows them disrespect and that no one can trust or feel safe in your gym.------------------------------------------------------------------------Update: It's been 3 weeks since I posted the review above. And that I told them in person to cancel my membership. They are still taking membership fees from my bank account. I was right that this place can't be trusted.Save yourself from dealing with this place. Go elsewhere to get in shape and stay safe from these crooks.

It's a nice big gym, but they need more machines. I used to go to planet fitness and they had enough machines so you weren't constantly waiting. The huge amount of members and small amount of machines makes it hard to get anything done on them. I wish they cut off memberships or raised the prices so that fewer people joined, it's becoming difficult to get a good workout in at any reasonable time. Other than that the staff is friendly and the place is clean. Hopefully a new gym will open up nearby so people stop coming to this one.

Don't ever change your membership level! If you do, you will be penalized. I joined the Crunch Fitness St. Pete Northeast gym before they opened. They told me I could lock in the $10 a month rate. Then last summer I upgraded my membership so my son could join me at the gym. I paid the upgraded membership fee. However, when school started for my son I went back to the lower membership level. They jacked up the price of the lower membership level and I forever lost the $10 a month fee. So I was penalized for upgrading my membership.

Late night staff are very friendly Guys, good to see them every night, great conversations and they sure do make sure the gym is clean after the onslaught of how busy during the day time goes. Love not having a packed gym at night!

This is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! They have 8 SQUAT RACKS! They have two HIIT rooms, tons and tons of equipment, and the staff are super friendly. They also have a sauna, tanning beds, and massage bed. And for only $30 a month you get access to all locations and get to bring a guest with you!

It would of been a 5 star review if not for the attitude of some of the staff members. Out of all the gyms I've trained at this was the first time I've encountered staff who got annoyed when asked questions.The gym is spacious, clean, and has a ton of equipment. It was very busy but that's just because it's brand new.
