I am someone who was always intimidated by the gym and had zero clue of what to do when I was there. Training with Summer has changed that. She made a plan tailored to my needs and enabled me to be confident at the gym and motivated to go. Plus, she's super nice! Shout out to Matthew at the front who signed me up. He was not "sales-y" and was very knowledgable and helped me pick the right plan for me. The facility is also really dynamic so it's more fun than a regular gym.

I think Crunch Fitness is the closest thing you could get to experiencing purgatory. Every piece of equipment is constantly taken. You spend 10 minutes waiting, then 20, then 30. Time begins to lose meaning as you wander from taken piece of equipment to taken piece of equipment. You’re sure you once entered with a purpose, but you can’t remember what it was. Time itself begins to lose meaning. You begin questioning your own reality. Why am I here? Is this really a gym? Faceless people everywhere both working out and not working out at the same time. Nothing exists in this space, everything just kind of “is”. Perhaps you’ve entered the gym or perhaps you’ve entered the liminal space once occupied by a Steinmart. Your only workout is your endless self reflection. Who am I? Why am I here? What is existence?Bathrooms are clean and tidy tho. 2/5

I know I am not the only patron of Northeast Shopping Center disgusted by the parking practices of the gym rats. You are there to exercise. Walk from the back of the lot and leave parking for your elders. We can't all of us have handicap parking.

Do not sign a contract with this gym. My son signed us up, I never went into the place. Within a week he had a accident and he could not train for a year. I didn't cancel paid the year never went into place. After the year they started emailing, me texting me & calling me I told I no longer have a contract to take me off the list they advised me they cannot do that. You gotta go in person to cancel even though l've never went in person to sign up, anyways avoid the headache never sign a contract with this gym.

Sadly changing my 5 star review from 8 months ago to a 1 star. :( The exercise classes are completely out of control. There used to be a regulated sign-in sheet, where you were handed a wristband from a staff member. If you weren't in the class you couldn't attend that day. Now it is no longer regulated and there can be 5 to 20 extra people in a class and they are super crowded. You pay extra on your monthly membership to attend these classes, so random people are either showing up, or scribbling their name on the sheet even if there isn't room for them. I talked to a staff member about this weeks ago and they said they would change and do better, but just this morning it was the same. What is the point in signing up for classes in the app if they aren't regulated.. the enjoyment and quality of workouts are in decline with the amount of people now. Please just do the bare minimum and require class-lists be checked, and wristbands required.

BEWARE SCAMMERS!! DO NOT TRAIN WITH MATTIE OR SUMMER! I have to honest about how awful my experience has been with Crunch Northeast. If I could leave ZERO stars, I would!! My first impression was being introduced to two apparent buddies on the Personal Training team as I approached them with a friend to ask for a tour. A blonde by the name of Summer ignored my ask, rolled her eyes and just looked at her red headed cohort, Mattie as if to say, “I’m not doing it.” Mattie seemed energized and excited so naturally we matched her vibe however, when the tour ended, the hustle began. Mattie asked me several times if I wanted a “free” PT session to which I answered 4 times “NO.” She then asked me what card I wanted to charge it on and I looked at her as if she might have experienced a sudden loss of hearing, and once again said “do not charge my card!” Next day, a charge was posted to my account. $10 bucks. To me, the amount didn’t matter as much as the disrespect and all over $10 bucks. It was obvious these two partner and scam others in the same way. Mattie only trains the elderly while Summer barely has clientele thus, how many others are they doing this to in order to appear as if they are hitting their quota? Even after calling and coming in to resolve this, the $10 bucks was never refunded but, did that stop me from continuing my membership or paying my dues? Nope. I dropped it and focused on working out. Now only a few shorts months later I am faced with another incident where Summer is yet again rude, unprofessional and flat out disrespectful without any rational reason to justify this. I recently experienced an update to my account that I had questions about and called at 6AM to resolve this, as having worked in customer service roles, I know first thing in the morning is always the best time to call. When I started the conversation, on account of my previous run in with these two con artists, I wanted to confirm who I was speaking with to ensure neither one of these two had access to my card. So naturally, I asked to know who I was speaking with to which Summer scoffed loudly and rudely said, “who am I speaking with?!” as if to insinuate she had an audience of 1, Mattie. I willingly gave her my name because, who has time for this disrespect that early in the morning? I mean is it really my fault you’re underpaid and unhappy? But I digress. When I followed up with, “Okay, so may I know who I am speaking with?” Summer continued to rudely evade the question as if she was on America’s Most Wanted list. I asked patiently to speak with someone who wasn’t afraid to answer the question to which I was placed on hold for 5 minutes. I called back, was placed on hold immediately. I called back Summer picks up, asked to place me on hold to which I asked for her manager at this point and then, get this, she hangs up. Again. It’s 6AM. Summer is just not bright and summering however, she forgets we are local members. So, I drive down to the gym to resolve the issue, express my frustrations while Summer hid behind the desk on her knees. I can’t make this up. I ask for the GM’s name, and I’m told he wasn't there. I ask for the owners name and get a random name to which I simply say, “I will happily cancel my membership.” The manager was completely happy to help me with this however, it was obvious there would be no resolution nor change to this apparent culture of disrespect which is why I am here.I have no interest in continuing my membership with Crunch at all especially when the establishment is filled with immature, scam artists who have nothing better to do than to impact people in negative ways, first thing in the morning at that.BEWARE!! DO NOT EVER, EVER choose Summer or Matti as Personal Trainers. They are con artists who have no professionalism and think disrespecting their customers is the best use of their time instead of focusing all that energy on making more money and not being dependent on the micro amounts they steal from unknowing customers accounts.

I’ve been to many crunches and this is by far the worst location ever. It’s like a zoo in there any time of the day, everyday of the week. You’ll spend more time waiting for a machine (cardio and strength) than you will actually working out. I’m more than positive they go over their maximum capacity and you can definitely tell. Super uncomfortable. And when I tried to cancel my membership for this reason they want to give me a hard time, but that’s expected from Crunch. I’ll stick to my planet fitness and YouFit gyms 🥰🥰🥰

I love the equipment at this gym & the people here. But the lack of cleanliness is unacceptable. This is blood that is on the girls locker room floor. There are drops in several locations. It was there yesterday, and it is still there today. I thought the staff cleaned the bathroom everyday around 2-3 pm. But this has been here for 24 hours. If we are getting charged $40/year for the cleaning fee, I would expect the bathroom floors to be cleaned at least once a day.

Nice gym, nice equipment (though a speed bag would be nice).Just so damn crowded. I refuse to go after work because I'll sit there waiting 20 minutes for a machine or bench. The customers there don't seem to understand proper gym etiquette; letting people work in between sets. They'd rather just sit there and play on their phone instead. So I'm pretty much at the mercy of late night or 5am workouts. Neither are ideal.

No longer getting the value out of my membership that I did when this gym first opened, due to the amount of members this gym has accepted. I've gone at every possible time that the hours of operations allows and I always have to drastically change my workouts based on the machines available. Managements greed has gotten in the way of an enjoyable experience for the average modern day lifter - but if you love cardio, come on down! They've got an unnecessary amount of treadmills!
