This place has the best prices and the most friendly staff of all gyms in Phoenix. It is primarily a top roping gym but they also have lead climbing and a small bouldering area. The staff is extremely friendly and they have great prices on snacks and beverages. I recommend this as a first stop for anyone getting into rock climbing. One of the best gyms in Phoenix!

Solid climbing gym with top rope, lead climbing, and bouldering. They use tape to indicate routes instead of the color of the hold which is confusing at first, but it allows for more routes per hold. It's usually not that busy unless you go around 5:00 - 8:00 PM.

Friendly staff and quality routes, on top of that it's probably the best priced rock gym in the valley. Routes tend to range from 5.6 to 5.13 with a few exceptions on either end.

PRG is just awesome. The staff meet you where you're at. Everyone is encouraging and helpful. Very little gatekeeping to learning new skills, while keeping safety as a top priority.

Always a great place to climb! Friendly knowledgeable staff and environment is always fun. Wish they had more locations further East valley and we would go more often or join as members!

Very disappointed about my experience at this gym. As a rock gym employee at another gym, and an experienced climber of 13 years I do not agree with the gyms lead belay policy. I was told to read a sheet of rules, which I did and it did not state the Pbus method of belaying was what needed to be used or else it’s automatic failure. I asked the gym employee and the manager if I could retake the test as I understand what they would like me to do based on their policy - I was told no and that I needed to wait a week to retake the test. I was then told by the manager (who I had a short conversation with before I left to share my feedback) that the owner had actually “grandfathered” climbers into using the “old” method and those are the only people who can use it today. Knowing someone’s experience level with climbing should dictate whether you let someone retake your test since your gym has much different rules than many. The reason for a test is to understand someone knows how to belay safely in your facility without injuring themselves or someone else. I will not be returning to this gym.

Best place to climb in the area! Super cheap memberships too. Gets a bit hot during the summer, though, I would happily pay a lot more for my membership if they could cool it down significantly in there
