If xperience fitness didn't close i wouldn't be gym shopping like everyone else lol I was lucky to get an appointment July 3 23. I appreciate that. But they changed the entire process signing up lol what happened to sign up and then done ok leave me alone then. I am forced to meet with a trainer even if it's for 5 minutes. I don't need that and don't want to do that. She told me that I was gonna get 10 hundred dallor gift cards to give out to people i know and I would get a discount or something on my membership. Ok cool. Then she tells me that I need to write down people i know and their numbers for her to call them... noo.... idk what the hell thats about.... I am not putting people's info out there like that. Smh. I am only here because the gym is close and xperience fitness is closed. Not happy with the change....09-14-23I was able to bring my membership down thanks to the regional manager. We'll today a staff member called me annoyingly telling me I should upgrade. Listen. Stop! One more attempt to call.me.over upgrading my membership I am switching gyms! Your number is blocked and do not call me! Leave me alone!

This place is horrible. The equipment is really just basic and meant for old and obese people trying to loose weight. The manager is one of the worst people I have ever met and tried to charge me a $250 fee for canceling my membership early. This manager’s name is Monica, she is someone you should never talk to because she is just a horrible person. Please do not go to this gym as $35 bi-weekly is not a good deal at all. Lastly they let a 17 year old kid sign for a membership without any parents present which is not okay on a legal standpoint.

This owner is a pos. Won’t quote prices over the phone since they want you to sit down etc. just quote me prices, the other Waukesha location quoted me very easily over the phone & I will be moving forward with the other location. Just be upfront with customers & give prices it’s not that hard

Terrible place. Facility is nice, but I had stopped going a few months beforehand. When I tried to cancel, they attempted to extort money from me, even threatening me. If I could give negative stars, I would.

It hurts to change my review I had previously given this gym 5 stars under the previous ownership as the previous owners took so much pride in their gym and kept it absolutely spotless. A long story short is that most of the friends I’ve made going to this gym for over a year prior to it changing hands share the same opinion on the gym going down hill, recent reviews would say the same. The previous owners had set the gym up for the people using it. It’s very clear that the current ownership does not share the same enthusiasm for the gym or it’s patrons. The corporation/individual that purchased this gym owns over a dozen anytime fitness locations in the lake country area. It is very clear that they have a pure profit orientation, at the end of the day it’s a business that is their prerogative but those of us accustomed to a standard of service in this gym can’t reconcile what has happened to it.For anyone unfamiliar with how these gyms are profitable, they are set up to attract people to sign contracts for extended enrollment in the gym typically 12 months or more. The hope is that these people never use the gym so that they collect money for nothing thus generating a profit. While yes, they do offer month to month in some cases or 6 month these are typically priced much higher on a per month basis than a commitment, there is no reason for that as the services value isn’t changing regardless if you sign up for a single month or 24.Unfortunately for this model of ownership, this gym had a lot of people using it because it was honestly one of the most affordable and best maintained gyms in the area. There were a lot of people using this gym that were serious lifters. That is something uncommon for a franchise gym. Since the new ownership has taken over, the gym is no longer for the folks that use it every day. It is set up to attract people through membership drives and promotions that encourage 12-24 month financial commitments. This isn’t speculation, it’s very obvious if you review the Facebook page for this location (Anytime Fitness Waukesha West) they regularly post about promotions, referrals, and a few free months in exchange for long term commitments. Something else a little odd is they take and publicly post a picture of every new member with their name and their fitness goals. Perhaps these people are comfortable to share that to social media but I know for some people that is highly personal.Over the course of new ownership (about 4 months now) they have gone through a couple trainers, rearranged equipment in a way that doesn’t maximize space and creates traffic, not replaced a single piece of existing strength equipment, removed amenities, and most importantly; struggled to keep the gym clean and in good outward appearance. Part of the appeal of the previous ownership was how immaculate the gym was. it was clean, well kept, and sanitary. It smells like a locker room now and that was never the case for over a year prior.

I had been attending this gym for about two years previously and will not be returning. About a month or two ago, ownership changed, and the differences are drastic. Cleanliness seems to be sliding under the radar, the machines got replaced and rearranged in less optimal places and the gym is now very hard to navigate, crowded and unpleasant to use.The atmosphere has also changed, and has become very sales-y and corporate. The gym was previously family-owned.However, the tipping point for me was receiving a survey from Anytime and submitting my feedback about some of the changes I have observed. The response from the regional manager was rather condescending and instead of discussing some of the things I mentioned they just told me that I was wrong. The overall experience at this gym is not what it used to be, and for a gym costing just shy of $50/mo, definitely not worth it to be going here anymore. Also, it is very difficult to cancel a membership here, so be wary.

Everything that's made this gym is gone. It's very obvious that this gym changed hands. I'm at the gym 5-7 times a week and it's gone down hill very quickly the last 2 or 3 months. They put in bigger trash cans than before and every weekend they've been full, the cleaner spray is empty and 2-3 of the paper towel holders are empty. They keep moving equipment around and have placed equipment so close now that you can't get around it while people are using it to get to the machines (stair stepper has to walk past an elliptical bike with handles swinging) along with machines for squats now being on an uneven floor and wobbling around anytime you step on it. The 8 kettle bells that they have are either 5 15 30 40 or 50 pounds and half the handles are broken so hope you have good calluses cause they will scrap your hands up. Last week someone taped a glob of hair to the office window because it's building up in the bathrooms and no one cleans them. I don't know how it went from a gym with 2 owners/employees to a gym with 6 managers that can't manage to empty the trash or clean. They are always doing a member drive and post a dozen times a day to Facebook about everything along with at least 2 text a week to my personal number trying to get me to use their trainers. I'm ready to quit here and try a new gym even if it's not anytime (after being a member for more than 2 years) as long as it's takes care of the gym. Very dissapointed.

My wife and I are visiting from Florida and needed to find an Anytime fitness close to where we are staying and chose this location. I'm glad we did. This place is kept very clean and has the equipment we needed to get through our exercise routines. Everyone there is very friendly and the young lady that was managing was exceptional. We will definitely be back!

Amazing facility, gym is always clean. Restrooms are well kept. Equipment is beyond amazing. Different areas to workout in. Staff is always welcoming every time I go there. One of the best Anytime fitness that I have been this year.
