I have been a black card member at PF for a year now. I was already planning to end my membership the week before my membership renews.I was charged the annual fee of $40 yesterday on the 1st even though my last day of membership is May 16th. I was surprised by the charge and even more since PF does not send out any emails warning their customers that they will be charged the annual fee at lest a few days before.With the charge still pending, I go to my local PF and discontinued my membership (this was my original plan). The staff member tells me that from his experience, they cannot reverse the charge, even a pending one!I call the branch manager the next day (since it was already 7 pm) and explain my situation to her and get the same answer; all charges are final and cannot be reversed. I tell her that I won’t make a big deal about the $40, but it would be courteous to at least send an email to customers to give them a simple heads up. She thanked me for my feedback and said that she would pass it along to corporate. I explain to her that funny enough, this is the one major complaint that you see on the PF corporate office’s google page; people being surprised by the annual fee.(Keep in mind that if you have any billing issue with them, you can only TRY to resolve it by calling your local PF as they are independently owned).I further explain that the contract that we sign is unclear on when exactly this annual fee will be charged....”on or around the 1st of the month.”And so the branch manager’s explanation was that she thinks that although PF value their customers, it is still a business at the end of the day. So if they send out reminder emails to their paying customers, then most people will want to end their membership. Yep, she said that.Well, if your customers were satisfied with their membership, then they will not have a reason to avoid the annual fee and discontinue it all together. They won $40 but they lost a customer and future referrals which are worth a lot more.Yes, we have the obligation to be responsible and accountable for the agreement we sign, but this response just validated my decision to leave PF and never come back. I will also make sure to warn my friends and family so they they don’t make the same mistake.You get even less than what you pay for.

This place is a nice quiet gym. The parking lot is not very nice and you have to dodge many potholes if you come in by the entrance off wayne road, which is annoying but that is the only negative thing I can say about the gym. It is usually crowded at certain times but every gym is like this.

This is a really cool Planet Fitness. Over the years I've been to a few but this one is top notch. Nobody even looks at me! It's great. Plenty of equiptment. Plus other perks that make any membership you choose pretty swell.

I am constantly travelling around the area for work, so my Black Card is so helpful being that I can pop into whatever gym is close when my schedule gets tight.This week I visited the Westland location and was immediately impressed by the friendly staff as soon as I walked in and blown away by how CLEAN the gym was.I spotted no cat hair dust bunnies while I was on the floor doing core work which is so refreshing. Hoping my schedule lines up to stop in here again soon!

Nice planet fitness. Very clean, and proper management. Lots of gym equipments to use.

Has so many machines so you don't have to wait, tanning beds are the best around even has air conditioning in the beds!

Bigger planet, wasn’t that packed either, went with a friend during prime time. Only reason for not putting 5 stars was because it seemed like every paper towel dispenser was low, but I mean that can happen at any gym.

Super clean! Love the sectioned off areas for "abs" and "stretching" - makes you feel a lot more comfortable, especially when trying new things.

Much better after the new equipment, still real busy though , having to wait to use some equipment is a pain , but you can't beat the price ! ***Edit*** went in the afternoon around 8pm on a Friday the place was filled with high school kids , the staff looked like school kids as well , forgot my lock and thought no biggie I have a bright bag and I come in the morning and never lock my locker and have had 0 problem, I worked out for about an hour 1/2 and noticed the kids where thinning out , well I went into the locker room to find my bag BUT not my Nike Therma sphere hoodie I was pissed I went to the 16 year old at the counter an told him someone stole my hoodie and was just asked if I had a lock 😡, I guess you get what you pay for !!!!! Trust me spend the extra money and go somewhere else !!! This place is for the oldies and high school kids
