The gym is very nice and affordable for all the things that are offered. Jaulanda Davenport-Perry is a wonderful Spin and Body Pump instructor who has a great attitude and keeps you motivated during her classes. I would recommend The Edge Westland any day!

I’ve been a member at Edge since it opened in 2019. The gym is clean and the staff is friendly. I absolutely love the group classes, especially Rhythm Ride and BodyPump. One of favorite instructors is Jai Davenport, she brings the heat and energy to every single class!

My opinion, the best part of the gym are the spin classes lead by Jaulanda Davenport-Perry. She is upbeat at all times and makes sure you get a work out. I weighed myself before going to her class, and then again afterwards. It was 3 lbs less. I didn't even know it was possible to be lighter after a workout, But anyway, she is the best and the reason why I joined. She does not disappoint.

This gym and the people inside are great, but don’t try to cancel for any reason. I do not live near this gym anymore and needed to go to a gym near me. I went up there to cancel, they said it would be best to wait till my agreement is up( which was may 4th) and call customer service. Completely understandable. On may 5th I call to cancel my membership with customer service and they said I have to give them a 30 day notice before canceling which is they craziest thing I heard from a fitness center. I not only was I charged for this month(which is on me I get it) but I’ll probably be charged for next as well just because they do not respond until 5-7 business days per their automatic email response. Great gym, horrible canceling experience.

I have to say I am highly disappointed in this company. I closed my account last year and submitted the required paperwork to have the account canceled only to find out several months later that my account was never closed and sent to collections, which racked up a bill for over $1300 dollars. It is very disheartening because I have tried everything to rectify this situation. I called the Westland location several times for several days and each time they told me the GM would call me back, but no one ever did. I was finally able to get in contact with the current GM Dorian who informed me that my account should have been closed and not sent to collections. Apparently the previous GM and front desk staff did not close out my account properly as discussed. I’ve also sent numerous emails to have them look into this matter and no one has replied yet.At this point I’m not sure what to do. The collection agency is threatening to report my account to the credit bureau’s.This whole situation is just unbelievable.

When trying to cancel my membership (I was a member since the day they opened) because of a family emergency I had to write them multiple emails and it took them months after I wrote the emails to cancel it. I came up with my kids to let them use the rock wall and they told me my membership was canceled…. Gym is over crowded, people sit on equipment and hog it. Judgment everywhere. Highly aggravated with the billing company and the customer service at this gym. I’ll never become a member here again and I’ll encourage people to do the same.

I started going to this gym a little over a year ago now. I enjoyed the classes especially the spin class with Jai. She has opened my mind and connected me to other classes that helped to transform my relationship with my body. The level of service, instruction, and support provided by the staff and management is unparalleled. Grateful for the opportunity to have a place to work on myself and not feel ashamed or embarrassed. While it is not in my immediate area it is not a chore to visit this location specifically for my membership.

Fantastic gym. Friendly & helpful staff. The women's only area gives a safe feeling if you're figuring things out or ever feel uncomfortable. A very new/modern gym amenities. 100% recommend.
