I’ve been working with Matt for years and have seen great benefits from his knowledge and training. I’m in my 40s and appreciate the welcoming and friendly atmosphere at Legacy - there’s none of the intimidation, judgment, or ogling I’ve experienced in other gyms. I appreciate the teamwork and fun that Tom and Matt display while working with their clients.Legacy has helped me focus on re-building strength after taking a long break from sports after my daughter was born. I’ve been able to achieve my athletic goals in and out of the gym, and have actually started to feel like and athlete again. Thank you, Matt!

I’ve been training for Legacy for 3 months now and can honestly say this place is amazing. I started out by attending their B&B Wednesday night class. It is a great way to start out when you have little knowledge of lifting heavy, like I did. I have seen my strength improve tremendously throughout my training. The first day I showed interest in training at Legacy, Matt and Tom made me feel like I was already apart of the Legacy family. When I first started training with Matt, I could squat only 80 lbs and now I’m at 175 lbs, hopeful to hit 200 by December. They truly make each training session fun and enjoyable. I can’t wait to see what goals I can attain in the future!

I had such a great workout here!!!!I got a day pass while I was in town and had an excellent experience. This studio has everything you could want, including a hip thrust bench! The colorful lights sync with the music and makes for a great environment to get you into a lifting mood.I will definitely be back.

I visited this gym while on vacation in Wilmington. It’s beautiful and the staff is great. Matt and Tom are so welcoming and bring enthusiasm to each training session which makes lifting here so much fun. The facility is really nice as well. It has all of the equipment needed for powerlifting or regular weight training, and the lighting is cool too. Matt also offers remote coaching, which I started a couple months ago. I have already seen progress in my strength training and have enjoyed lifting so much more.

Legacy lifestyle training gym has welcomed all of their clients with open arms! The environment is so uplifting and the workouts are hard, yet so amazing. Matt and Tom are both incredible trainers with endless knowledge about nutrition, strength, hypertrophy, and weight loss. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE YALL...LEGACY IS WHERE IT IS AT.I started my fitness journey about 2.5 years ago after having my son and gaining about 80 lbs in my pregnancy. My only goal at the time was to get the weight off. About a year in, I had lost about 50 pounds by solely running but honestly I had no idea what I was doing so I sought after some help. I started my personal training journey with Matt (legacy co-owner and trainer) and it is HANDS DOWN THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME in my fitness journey.I needed the guidance and structured programming that Matt had to offer but MOST importantly I needed the fun, friendly and supportive culture, accountability, and tailored programming that ONLY legacy offers. At legacy I have changed my "goals" at least 4 times from "I need to lose weight" to "I need to tone up" to "I have a boudoir shoot coming up" to "I am getting married." Each and every time, legacy heard me, stepped up to the challenge, and kept me accountable to my fitness goals the entire way. Matt's partner, Tom, with legacy even offered to meal prep and schooled me on macros so that I could further my gains with appropriate nutrition. Legacy changed the game for me y'all. My confidence has sky rocketed, I have developed an awesome healthy outlet, and I feel mentally and physically amazing. I would not have developed the love I have for fitness without them, no doubt. These trainers care and I am a consumer for life.

Where to begin?! I started training at Legacy when they first opened in August and it has truly been a life changer! Both Matt and Tom are incredible trainers and people and are very knowledgable from strength training to nutrition to weight loss! Since training with my Matt, my strength has increased more than I thought possible in just three short months. Not only has my strength increased, I've also gained one of my best friends and am involved in such a great community of people. Lifting at Legacy has easily become my favorite part of my day/week! All of your hard work is SO appreciated, thank you both!!

The space is very clean and well laid out. Matt is very patient and takes the time to explain pros / cons on various types of fitness and nutrition plans. He encourages me to push through the fear of past injuries….and….knock on wood, I’ve been consistently training with Matt for over 6 months and feel great!

Very well put together, with plenty of space for the clients when training. Extremely clean & makes you feel like home when visiting to training. Matt is a super nice guy. Him and his partner are doing amazing things!
