I posted a review on the TYDE Facebook page last week that has since then been removed by someone other than myself. Due to them removing the post, I am resorting to posting this on that individual YMCA's page. I am disturbed that my review was removed solely because it didn't put one particular person in a positive light. The point of reviews is to hear the good and the bad experiences of a business so that potential customers know what to expect. Not only did someone in the TYDE administrative staff remove my review, they took the option of giving a review completely away which was very cowardly in my opinion and a very poor decision to ensure proper customer service and satisfaction. Here was my original review and I will also add an update.Tyde:PSA if you are considering attending this YMCA to do the TYDE assessment please reconsider. You will surely be disappointed. Leann Day clearly HATES her job and is annoyed with anyone that she has to encounter. I have never dealt with a person that was more rude and confrontational. Why she would be the point person for the TYDE organization is beyond me. She was clearly irritated with being there right off the bat and then explained to us that she "gets one to two thousand phone calls a day so sorry if you got misinformed somewhere down the line". After talking to people upon leaving, I have found that this is what she tells everyone she encounters. Basically saying: if you're lucky enough to catch her on the phone, don't expect to get well informed because she doesn't have time for that....ok great thanks! The sad part is that my friend and I (and especially our kids) were so excited to become part of the TYDE team. This experience with Leann Day has put such a bad taste in our mouth for not only the TYDE team but the YMCA in general. I'm left wondering if we should just find an entirely different organization.I'm only writing this to make people aware of what they are walking into when they deal with Leann Day. We were completely shocked and caught off guard and I want other potential customers to be fully aware of what you get when you go. Don't think this is going to be a lighthearted and fun experience for your kids or for you like one would assume and hope it would be!Update:I was contacted by bob Jennings shortly after this post. He was very polite and apologetic for my bad experience which I very much appreciated. He was also present on the day of our assessment and was friendly and compassionate with our children which of course is very important to parents as well as the kids.Bob offered my son a free swim lesson in hopes that we would be able to have a different perception of the TYDE organization.I will also add that I have friends that are members of this organization and have never had a bad experience and were shocked to hear about ours. However, they had also never had to interact with Leann Day.In my review I do not want to give the entire organization a bad name that is why I mention Leann's name specifically.Again, I very much appreciate bob reaching out to me and trying to accommodate us in some way BUT, I will not remove this post because I want Leann to be held accountable to her actions that day. Had I not "called her out" on social media, her bad behavior may have never been acknowledged and I want other potential members to be aware of how this woman conducts herself.

Good customer service goes a long way, my experience has been extremely pleasant at this YMCA location. Staff members are eager to assist and pleasant to interact with every time that my family and I visit the facilities. There are a great variety of classes to attend and most of the instructors are kind, courteous and patient with members. I enjoy the ambience of this location and the customer service is top notch! Good job, it's truly a breath of fresh air.

I have been a member of this ymca for 22 yrs. Today Sam Smalls Sr decided to suspend my membership without having a foundation or a reason to do so. I will take this to a highher authority at the YMCA but i want to be clear that this was a form of personal issues that Sam has had. I did not break any YMCA rules and the suspension was not necessary.
