I’ve been going to this gym for over 10 years and in the last year it’s been incredibly filthy. So much so human hairs are falling in my face when I’m doing bench press from the weights. I am very disappointed by how inconsistent their cleaning routines have been here. Step it up, Defined fitness.

Clean with an amazing layout of equipment but attracts a lot of “influencers.” You might be in the background of some of their videos and photos so if that’s something you’re not okay with then please consider that before signing the binding contract. The gym can get very busy at times but if you keep your head down, mind your own business, and naturally focus on your workouts as you should you will have a great workout and experience. It does have a lot of great amenities to offer. I loved the interior design which provided a relaxing experience during each workout :)Would have loved to give it the full 5 stars but the cancellation nightmare stories are unfortunately true. It took me three months with consistent follow up emails, calls, and even a certified letter (that was returned) to completely cancel. A friendly recommendation would be to cancel at least 2-3 months in advance if you relocate or switch gyms.

Pros:The gym itself is spacious and fairly clean. The front desk folks are friendly and the teachers for the classes are pretty legit.Cons:I would like to preface this by saying I regret not listening to the other reviewers about some of the nonsense that occurs at Defined fitness. I have never had an experience like this with a business before. When I signed up I was told about an opportunity to get 3 fitness training trial to see if it was something I’d be interested in. I decided to go for it and sign a contract which I deeply regret. I will say my trainer seemed knowledgeable and personable however communication and trying to schedule appointments was impossible. I had to reschedule because of getting Covid and my trainer didn’t respond to me trying to schedule an app so I had to go through his boss. I was stood up the first time because of a computer error and then the next time because my trainer was out of town. Nobody communicated with me. Another trainer messaged me the day before asking if we could reschedule to which I responded in confusion because she was not my trainer. She said to disregard her message. I don’t think anyone communicated with her either. After that I decided to get out of the contract because it was more stressful than anything else. I canceled on the middle of July however I was still charged for fitness training in August. I have been trying to get a refund but with very little luck. My form was apparently “lost”. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the fitness training program.. I am happy to update this review of the money ever returns but at this point I wouldn’t hold my breath. I feel scammed and frustrated.Update: my money was finally returned so I am changing my review to 3.5 stars. I do appreciate that at the end of the day defined fitness stayed true to their word.

Been a loyal member since 2014 and was recently kicked out for the General Manager Anthony Paez for absolutely no reason. This gym is not a friendly place towards minorities. Absolutely unprofessional, personal trainers are out of shape, as well as they will not issue you a refund, but will be quick to take your money. Never ever had a problem with any general manager of defined fitness except for Paez. Paez also told me very unprofessionally that he would “make my life a living hell” for simply trying to workout. Chuze is much better and much cheaper with much better employees, and better management.

Just waited 20 minutes outside because the staff was late. Apparently this is a normal thing now. A majority of the staff are very unwelcoming most days. Super disappointed in the newer management team. We pay money for hours of operation not at your staffs convenience.

I have been a member for over 20 years. I was approached by Anthony and so were numerous members this morning around 5:50 am about how to properly wear a mask. Anthony was very confrontational rude and un professional.I mentioned during our conversation that he was not portraying what he was trying to enforce because his mask was below his chin. Anthony became even more rude down right angry and was in my personal space. (Do what I say not what I do?) I have decided to leave a long time commitment because of this employees double standard. I am sure many will make this decision soon when approached with such an unprofessional manner. This Employee Anthony will need a performance record of conversation along with a lot of training on how to communicate in a professional manner.I will also be sure to let anyone who is interested in exercise my most recent experience here.

They have good equipment and are clean and in good condition however it is costly. When our Governor Grisham decides to initiate the mask mandate, DF socialist society staff will try and enforce this mandate but have no training in customer service skills and tended to be rude and kick you out if you do not comply, especially manager Anthony, he despised our exchange so much he would not allow me to start my membership again after the mask mandate has been lifted.I would have to go to another location to do it and if I came back to the bosque club even with a membership I was informed Anthony could still force me out due to the spite he has towards me for speaking up about my opinion towards the way he decided to have me vacate the gym.I feel that I am being discriminated because I have an opinion that I prefer to breathe in healthy air.I hope this review helps anyone who is considering returning to this Gym.

I have been a member of Defined Fitness since 2014. I am consistently impressed with Defined's fitness instructors! Hand's down the best = Danielle P. If it were not for this woman, I would not have maintained my membership this long. Give this woman a raise! On a serious note, I am disappointed by the lack of proper mask wearing by some members and *employees.* I am always shocked by the welcome committee's noses poking over their mask. Y'all know how to wear a mask by now, don't you?

Is this the the oldest location in Albuquerque? The location is way too small for the current members...in addition the equipment is old, sticks, is constantly under repair rather than being replaced with new equipment. This location seems strictly an upperbody and cardio location where legs is an afterthought, there's one angled leg press, two leg extension one sticks, no hack squat, no reg leg press, one leg curls, two hip inductor machine, its too small. This is a commercial gym which lacks a lot of amenities as a commerical. Highly disappointed
