Seriously the best deal you're going to get for a powerlifting gym in Albuquerque! Wide range of specialized bars, 4 squat racks with 8 sets of bar hooks, resistance bands, chains, 4 bench presses. Oh and sufficient strongman equipment plus a Half rack and an Olympic powerlifting platform! For $35 a month?? Are you kidding???

I've worked out in many places but have recently began getting serious about GAINING strength and power in my routine. Working with a great coach and in a supportive atmosphere at Iron Soul has helped me to correct and perfect my form and begin to build strength by lifting with power and to my fullest potential. It has been challenging, but if you're serious about your workout this is the place to root some foundation.

I've never experienced a more friendly and supportive gym environment. Unlike commercial gyms du jour, Iron Soul is more of a community where strength knowledge runs deep and is freely distributed. Management is top notch and sets a superior example for the membership. These words from the Iron Soul website says it all: "NO ONE WILL EVER BE INTIMIDATED HERE."

Short: Iron soul is the best gym ever!Medium: I played rugby, fitness is critical. I've been to many gyms all over the world. Iron soul is the best gym ever period.Long: My team was sponsored by iron soul so I joined (Ask about corporate deals/they also have coaches and can teach you how to lift). Iron Soul is always open and all members receive a key, but it is only staffed at certain hours. There is a really positive and welcoming atmosphere and every other member I've met is friendly and always willing to teach me and help me with form and lifting technique. Before I joined, I asked my friend on my team if they had kettle bells at Iron Soul. He informed Eric, the owner (whom is most friendly and knowledgeable and enthusiastic about powerlifting) and he purchased kettlebells that day before my first visit! There are many bars that I myself don't use, but someone at the gym will be able to tell you what they are for and how to use them properly, a sled and a turf track for it, many free weights ranging up so I that I don't use them for my workouts, there are atlas stones (which are heaps of fun), multiple deadlift platforms, squat racks, and bench presses (I've never seen them all occupied at once). If you're in Albuquerque and want to join a gym or you love powerlifting and want to lift at an incredible powerlifting gym, you have to go to Iron Soul.

Visiting ABQ and dropped in for a workout. Owner was extremely accommodating. Only about 3 other members were training as a stranger felt right at home. Don't be misled, this isn't planet fitness. People in this gym are there to work, it's a very motivating environment. Along with the "planet fitness" comment this facility is designed for those wishing to challenge themselves, no fluff, no foo foo machines. Facility is clean, and well organized. Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

I can't say enough great things about this place. I started with Iron Soul shortly after they opened and recently had to leave due to a job relocation. You will find a welcome environment and a variety of lifters from those just starting to record holding powerlifters. I've found everyone here to be helpful and encouraging and the environment is conducive to anyone interested in working hard to achieve their goals. Eric is a great guy and genuinely interested in the results his lifters achieve. You seriously can't beat this place in terms of value, environment, and access. Now if I can only find something here in Phoenix that compares...

Decided to stop by here to train on a cross-country road trip. Absolutely loved the place. Had an amazing facility and the people were amazing. The owner was a truly great guy, and made a point of speaking with me and even gave me a free gym tank top. If I lived in Albuquerque, this would be my gym, no questions asked.

This is a great gym. Me and my husband joined about 2 months ago and love it so far. Plenty of equipment, enough weights and space for everyone and it's rarely ever busy. The owner as well as the other members are extremely polite and nice, not judgmental at all, and willing to give helpful tips and hints to newbies like me. I'd highly recommend this gym to anyone who's interested in weight lifting. The price is also much better than any other real gym we could find in Albuquerque.

LOVE THIS PLACE. All the weights and proper equipment you could ever imagine to get strong.I'm able to come in and workout with no BS. Never have to wait for any of the equipment either since the gym has enough for everyone. There are very few and rare occasions where I had to wait my turn for something which was during peak hours.People are very respectful here. And management does an excellent job creating an environment that allows you to succeed and do your best in the gym. They are very understanding and certainly know how to take care of their customers.
