I’m a black card holder because I travel a lot. This is by far the worst planet fitness. Machines don’t work. Trash overflowing. Paper towel dispensers empty. Workers behind the counter just talking and hanging out. Weights thrown all over the floor not being used. It was a waste.

Used for couple months; facilities were good. Had to cancel since I'd planned to go back for my study abroad—cancellation process over the counter went super smoothly and swiftly

I gave three stars because all the staff is nice except from the trainer. The trainer was unprofessional, rude, and not welcoming. I am a black card member that mean I can go to any location. He was telling me, I have to transfer here to receive services . I did make a complaint on him and hopefully planet fitness take action.

Its weird how people can all have different experiences at the same place. I belonged to a much more expensive gym before COVID and joined here as thing reopened because I need the 24 hour access as a first responder. I’ve found the staff to be much friendlier than my previous more costly gym and the facilities to be cleaner as well.So for my experience this place is great.

Planet Fitness (Seminary Plaza) is a great place to workout! It's extremely clean, the illumination motivate You to keep working hard and the Staff are very professional and welcoming! I normally workout around 10:00-11:30 PM with my Sister and the place is very organized and neat!

I enjoy working-out at PF. I have been a member of other gym for decades, at post and in many parts of CONUS I have lived by far this is so much affordable gym and have more equipment that I needed for the price. However, I wish they have at least 2 spinning wheels cycling machine they can accommodate versus more than enough ellipticals which I noticed all of them not being used.I switched to this location because I moved. So much convenience to stop by at Aldi before or after workout. Staff are very helpful but on rare occasion you'll ran into grouchy individual. Women locker room currently under renovation since I rejoin the gym not sure for how long. Members were told we can use next door game room's bathroom which is nice. However, they are not always open. Last night, I have to go to the bathroom badly and asked the staff if I can use the bathroom belongs to black card membership. As an elderly and have irregular bladder I really have to go but he told me NO. There's porta potty outside I can use. Imagine that? It was 28 degrees that night, I was declined to use the upgraded membership bathroom regardless you are elderly and have irregular bladder. This is a gym and should have available bathroom inside business premises and not porta putty outside in 28 degrees. :(

This planet fitness is closer to my house, but unfortunately they just put new treadmills in and got rid of the other ones. These new treadmills feel like I’m typing in Morse Code just to get the treadmill to start. I really dislike them. They should have kept some of the older ones. Now I’ll have to drive further out to another planet fitness location. Definitely an inconvenience, but I’ve heard Kenmore is the worst location, so it can maybe only go up from here.

On 3/28/22, I attended the New Member Orientation class at 11am. When I arrived, I waited about 10 min for the instructor, whose name I later found out to be Pierre Williams. The ‘class’ itself is 30min long, and already 1/3 of it was wasted waiting. I would’ve let it go if it weren’t for what happened after. When I met Pierre, he immediately started grilling me as to why I wasn’t able to make it to the previous classes (that I cancelled within a timely manner; my scheduling conflicts are none of his business). He stated that he doesn’t like when people waste his time…okay. He begins the orientation by telling me that making the decision to come to the gym is not an easy decision and that working out is hard and you have to be determined and push yourself, so he needs to know my ‘why.’ I told him that I’m interested in attending classes because it would make it easier for me to incorporate working out into my routine. He keeps telling me that “inspirational” motivational speech that I felt was unnecessary at the time, especially when I don’t even know what the focus of each class is. When I signed up for this class, I was expecting to be ORIENTED to the gym as a new member who is interested in attending classes. Mr. Williams just kept grilling me on my ‘why,’ I guess because he wasn’t satisfied with my answer, and it made me feel very uncomfortable and like I wasn’t proving to him that I even belong at the gym. I told him that the manner in which he was speaking and the topic is making me uncomfortable and that he should dial it back because he could easily scare someone away. He spent almost 10 minutes on this topic. Now, 2/3 of this orientation has passed and I still don’t know what each class is about or where the lockers are or what the sanitation policy is. I asked him 3 times to orient me to the gym, and he refused. I couldn’t take it anymore and went to the front desk to get the answers to my questions that he refused to answer. The woman at the desk, Mikayla, was very nice and informative. Apparently, Mr. Williams is the only trainer at this facility. At one point in the “class,” Mr. Williams told me that this location is the worst in the entire franchise and it’s only redeemable because of the training services that HE offers. With this location being the worst, I have to agree. I’ve never felt more judged by anyone in the fitness industry in my entire life, and I’ve worked with several trainers in the past. So much for the ‘no judgement zone.’

I switched locations and may be switching gyms altogether, but I've had a membership for almost 2 yrs. If you want a summary of my review, poor quality machines, staff that do very little but joke around, and I've been harassed by an employee. For the longer story, the machines are in very poor quality. Seats have chunks of cushion missing, adjusting the weight on the machines is difficult, and everything is super outdated. Especially when you compare this one to the Springfield location--it's night and day. That alone should be a driving force to leave this site. The staff are equally problematic. I get that they may not see this as a serious job (especially the younger ones), but so many of them slack off and goof around. The exception is one young man (I think he committed to Temple University and isn't there anymore), who was very helpful and kind. But the rest of them? Either they're on their phones the entire time, telling loud and inappropriate jokes behind the desk, goofing around in the facility, or are absent altogether. In fact, the best days were when I could scan my card and nobody was around. What really turned me off was when I got harassed by an employee. I try to be respectful and greet everyone when I'm walking in, but I think he was looking for something not being offered. He'd make it a point to try and have conversations when I was working out, he'd end up in my area in the gym to "clean" when I was there, but whatever. I thought maybe he was talkative and this was a coincidence. But one night, I finished my workout and I was walking out with headphones on. He's surrounded by a bunch of friends (including one other employee) and he starts screaming, "HEY!" at me. I ignore it and keep walking. Did he stop? No. He repeatedly screamed at me trying to get my attention. This guy is huge--over 6 feet tall, so felt uncomfortable and unsafe. I still ignore and leave. But he and his friends started busting out laughing. I was mortified and felt embarrassed. My fiance called the gym immediately. The manager calls him the next day super apologetic. I don't have my phone at work, but they left a message saying that they reviewed the footage and saw the incident take place; they saw me leaving, getting heckled at, and the group laughing at me. They gave us the 3-4 months of free membership. Management indicated the employee would be fired/transferred and customer safety was their priority.Nice words, but I didn't go to the gym here for 2 months....I'd either drive to a further location to workout or skip it altogether. I returned 2 months after the incident and my heart was racing--is the dude gone? 2 months is ample time to shift him to somewhere else. I didn't see him when I scanned in. But guess who reappeared behind the desk when I was gonna do my cardio? I cut my workout early, hopped on the phone with my fiance and left immediately. You hear stories everyday about women getting retaliated against for reporting harassment or rejecting men, but the managers at Planet Fitness disregarded my concerns.Planet Fitness did nothing to create a safe space, which I thought was their mission. If they think it's OK for their employees to intimidate customers, they shouldn't be operating. For women out there, do not come here. You are not protected, you are not a priority. If there's an incident, you'll be thrown a formality of a remedy, and they'll continue on. Men, tell the women in your life to choose a different location. The Springfield one (the one in the outlet next to an ALDI) is much cleaner and has an incredibly friendly staff. It looks a bit smaller, but I think it's worth it.To the owners/managers, if you read this far, please do not contact me or respond. This is a very cut-and-dry issue and you failed to actualize your promises. We have nothing to discuss, and an apology would be about as useful as your level of care for my safety--nonexistent.

The only reason I chose this gym is coz it's close to home. I know they have signs up about not being responsible for lost property, but when someone breaks onto a locked locker and steals my flip-flops, small makeup case, bra and blouse, the experience tells you a lot about the joint.I'm canceling my Black card membership today.
