Update 10/27/2022...Amazing....Update : 9/20/2022...Getting better... 4 stars.... I just don't understand why you keep the hot tub so hot here. It is nice at first but no matter what I do I can count after 10 to 15 minutes I turn into a lobster just seems excessive. In response to the owner, yes I did request he go to east cause of his size and what i was noticing during that month. When he got there that's when we found out that the way the classes are being taught are not consistent with each ak club in addition to him lacking the knowledge of a few small things taught at level 2. My biggest concern was that i knew he knows how to swim just unsure at that time if he could tred water. Where i agreed with the instructor saftey first putting him at level 2 and she told.me she would access him. But i was never told this accessment happened. When asked i was told cause they needed to make sure he could tred water (after i told her that was my only concern cause that was the only thing i had never seen yet). Made me feel like the assessment never happened being he was assessed at east and went to level 4 first day. But to go through a whole month of two level 2 classes and not know one stroke name let alone what he was doing was kind of disconcerting. Either or I'm glad we switched cause it suited him better. Maybe these lessons are best for younger kids in general at this club such as 8 and younger based on how i seen it was taught and how deep this pool is. Just seemes like after everything i experienced i felt it was a bummer to pay so much after being told one thing... end up something else... then he told me he felt he didn't learn anything from his experience here after 1st week at east, which was disappointing, maybe other kids benefit better than my son, but this was his experience and he was 10 now 11. Which it was a blessing once we switched cause all of this was addressed and he's now at level 5 swim team. Sometimes not everything works out, and I'm glad we all have been able to come together to make a better club experience for all.of us. Somethings I just can't deny and this was one issue that had me questioning this club swim practices. One to many "things" kept coming up with red flags for me not to say something. this was the major issue I had, it's over now. Thank you!!!

Went in to play racquetball with a member using a promotional free day pass. They would not honor it. They told me I he already used it when I hadn’t. Customer service is lacking.

I love the AK Club Eagle River! it gives me an opportunity to have a well-balanced program that helps me meet my goals. Weight lifting, complemented by swimming, yoga, ballet barre, board fitness classes and most recently personal training. Jared, the GM, is a great leader who ensures the club is pristine and the staff provides excellent customer service -always professional and courteous.

Nice but needs updating and less expensive tanning beds. I belong to planet fitness for $24 aA month unlimited tanning and massage chairs.

Your hours need to change or keep sauna and steam room open after hours over price for times that are open. Closed at 6pm on a Saturday is a joke. Can’t even use a sauna for people who work til 6.

I’ve been coming to Eagle River Alaska club and other Alaska clubs for a year and I’ve been very impressed with them. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They do a great job at having equipment for a full body workout. I also attended a few classes and those were great as well; overall I give them five stars and it's been the best Gym membership experience I’ve had yet.

Love this place! The staff are all so friendly and the gym and equipment are so clean. Our family enjoys the pool and racquetball court, my daughter loves the gym to practice basketball and volleyball, and I love the kids play center so I can get a consistent workout in. Super convenient water/drinks and snacks are available for easy charging to your account, too, so you don’t have to turn around and head back home if you forgot your water bottle or rummage through your locker for your wallet. And the classes are such a blast to get together with/make friends. Highly recommend.

Overall the gym is amazing. The staff is amazing, variety of equipment, clean facility. The child care is what keeps us coming back. We love the childcare workers so much. The only reason I knocked a star of is because of the starfish academy swim lessons. While the actual instructors are great, there are lots of inconsistencies within the program and we have had multiple instances of frustration over the last 8 months there. The gym management and staff are really amazing though. We would recommend!

As a family we enjoy our time at the Eagle River club. We like the variety of equipment and the overall atmosphere. Everyone is friendly too! We try to workout everyday and it’s always clean well-taken care of which we really appreciate it. We also love that we can workout 24/7. It’s the only place we’re happy working out at in Alaska. 👍🏻👍🏻

I've been working out at the Eagle River Alaska Club for over 12 years now. It has everything I need to be successful in getting the best workout possible. There are many classes to choose from. Also, my kids play basketball in the gym, use the swimming pool for lessons, and when they were little they had fun in the play area of the day care. I have much appreciated the after hours door they recently put up. It gives me the comfort of knowing I can workout whenever I want.
