The Alaska Club Eagle River offers a well-maintained, vibrant gym experience in the Eagle River Medical Plaza. Members appreciate the clean facilities, wide variety of classes, and child-friendly amenities that make it a great choice for families. A great gym a couple cosmetic issues but over all good there is only one machine out of a good 100 that needs work and many different areas to do different things. I personally have never taken any of their classes or training sessions but I’ve heard great things. I’ve tried planet fitness in eagle river as well and idk how but the Alaska club seems even less judgmental. If only there was a way to use saunas after hours.

I've been a member of this gym for many years. I don't want to drop too many negative comments about the club because what they did during the COVID lockdowns was admirable. I also understand that budgets are tight & employees can be difficult to maintain. I deal these same things on a daily basis. The positives are the amenities that can be obtained thru the gym; such as the massage service which I use regularly. However, it is very difficult to maintain a schedule with only 1 employee! I remember years ago there was around 3-4 massage therapist. What happened? The gym has very good equipment & they had, up until COVID been replacing worn equipment regularly. I think a throughout review of the equipment is in order & maybe some reprogramming might help with the aerobic equipment.I also haven't seen anybody from the "CLEAN TEAM" since I've been back. Most people don't wipe down the equipment when their done, so I'd really like to see them back in action. Also, PLEASE keep the locker rooms & showers clean! All that said, the locker rooms, amenities & floor plan will keep me going back but there are definitely some things that could be better.I do appreciate the friendliness of the staff, customer service means a lot!

Just started a new membership and was helped by Dustin who was very friendly, showed me around, and scheduled an appt. with a trainer to setup a workout routine. I love the look of the club inside and the fact it has a pool.

I started swim lessons 10 days ago and used to freak out just getting into the water. I used to hate just getting my face wet and had to start the first two lessons with a few minutes of dunking my head just to get started. After four lessons with Shelene, I am not only so much more confident in the water, I can calm myself down, make it across the pool multiple times without issues, and even enjoy swimming. If you want to start or improve your swimming, ask for Shelene and get started!

Signed up for a 99$ plan and have been continuously charged 137$ a month called accounting repeatedly and no answer. Tried leaving a voicemail and there box was full. Emailed them and after 2 weeks they replied saying the extra money would be put towards the next few payments which would’ve been fine. However the same thing keeps happening and now it’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t gotten a reply. Very unfortunate to be treated this way. All they care about is making money asked definitely not about their customers.

While the Eagle River club is very nice inside, with good amenities; the management and decisions of the Alaska Club are poor. They are over priced as well as, not courteous. They have adjusted their summer hours in the past to close early, while still charging the same price. When calling into member accounts, Jacob was less than courteous, sounded like he hates his job, and not helpful in the slightest. Customer service is what caused me to cancel my membership at The Alaska Club.

I am very disappointed with that service. One of Alaska club employee invited me to their open hours to take a look. The next step was to offer me a discount with 500$ and first month 20$ only. I singed the agreement and being told that I can cancel the membership any time during 3 months.I realized I don't have a time to visit that place and today I called them to cancel it. The problem is that this company forcing clients to pay 500$ cancellation fee. What? For what? I didn't even visit that place 2 months.THERE IS NO FLEXIBILITY FOR CUSTOMERS AT THAT POINT.If you want to stop membership or you find a better place or you want to move so there is no option for you to cancel it.I AM DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!NEVER TRUST SUCH A PLACE!I VISITED GYM IN CHICAGO AND NEVER MET SUCH AN AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.BE CAREFUL AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE ACCEPTING THE OFFER WITH FIRST MONTH FREE.THEY ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE.THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY.THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH FOR PLACE WHICH IS NOT WELL MAINTAINED. THE SAUNA IS ALWAYS BROKEN.

I so bad wanted things to change here but it looks like I’ll be canceling once my contract is up! During the day you got rude people and the staff see it and do nothing and if you come in at 5am you will constantly see there are towels everywhere on the floor and on the gym equipment from the day before, there’s also no clean towels available for you to use, dirty equipment, and gym attachments all over the floor. The weights are always all over the place being left on the other side of the gym floor. The only nice thing about this place is when you walk in and they greet you. It’s very sad every time I go there and I’ve been going for months now! I thought the cost would be worth it but it’s far from worth anything.. Planet Fitness here I come!

Hands down the best AK Club out of them all. My son has a blast with the staff and the play center that we nicknamed “The Treehouse”. Exceptionally cleanliness as well.

I never come here completely willingly and I always leave tired...and that is the sign of a great gym. Everyone is really friendly, there are a variety of classes offered for all fitness interests and levels, and the facility is clean and bright. People join just for the sauna, whirlpool and spa services. This location now offers 24 hour access as well. They have a great swimming program for kids and adults and they offer a fun indoor playground spot for supervised childcare and an area for older kids to play as well. They always keep their store stocked with a varied selection of athletic clothing and healthy snack options as well. My trainer, Katie, she is amazing and you would be lucky to get on her schedule. I’ve taken Power Class with Kristi and she is an extremely motivational instructor. She teaches Aqua Class too and I’d recommend anything she is leading. All the staff members seem knowledgeable and dedicated, I highly suggest their training program!
