We paid for swimming lessons this past August. The swim instructor canceled and we were never told. Then we were told to ask for a refund, which we had several times. Every time we are always referred to another department and never make any headway. Still waiting on our $100+ refund. Awesome.

I only needed a gym membership for a couple of months while I was visiting for the summer. I paid cash for the months I will be using the gym but Steven insisted on putting my card information so they can just put it on the system as he said for the system only no charges for anything… I should’ve never fell for that. But they charged me for the months I said I won’t be around the state anymore and won’t be needing it. I emailed them a month prior before I leave the state as to what was talked about but they insisted on having to have a 60 day notice so they can cancel my membership. Like this was never disclosed to me and I only needed this gym temporarily but why would I need a 60 day notice if I only used the gym less days than that? Their staff doesn’t want to listen to you, AT ALL and doesn’t take actions to what they have said and to what was talked about. I have proofs of said communication but they do like their money! I wish you guys all the best! Thanks for grabbing more money from me without my consent.

I'm not super impressed with this location. The staff don't seem too knowledgeable on things that would pertain to a gym, the equipment stays broken for far too long, even something simple as changing a filter for the fountains get pushed off for as long as possible. We pay a lot of money every month to attend a place that can't even handle simple up keeping it's disappointing. Places can change, definitely will update my review once things do.

Great fitness club. Helpful staff. I'm really loving the outdoor "Open Air" fitness area right now! It's been very enjoyable using it since the weather has been so warm and sunny!

Gym is clean, but the water fountains aren't serviceable, it's expensive and the other locations they claim come with your membership appear to be permanently closed. 60 days to cancel a contract, even if you find out the other locations are closed and tanning comes in a separate contract despite what you're paying in dues. Rate them with the Better Business Bureau, whomever is running this place shouldn't be, likely engaged daily in consumer fraud.

I come here daily. Not on par with other comparable gyms in the lower 48. AK South has had a leak in the roof for who knows how long. Employees have largely been unhelpful, unknowledgeable, and rude. Equipment is also pieced together and raggedy. I should probably find another gym to go to, but this is right across from where I work and it is most convenient in terms of commute. Also, overpriced considering services rendered.

I didn't want to continue my membership after the 1 year was up. They recently had taken money from my bank account. I had tried to contact them about it. Their accountants have not tried to call me back about this.I'm very mad that they're pretty much taking money out of my bank account with out an explanation of why they're doing so when I no longer have a membership with Alaska Club.I will never get a membership with Alaska Club ever again.I don't advise other's to get a membership with them, unless you want to get ripped off, and you're hard earned dollars being stolen.

Facility is clean, the kids play room was not as expected kind of boring for the older kiddos. Pool and hot tub are great the equipment is up to date and easy to use. Some of the front desk staff could use help in customer service training but other than that we have had an ok experience so far with our new membership

We take our kiddo here for swim lessons, and the staff is fantastic. We ended up joining a different gym for every day use due to Alaska club's pricing being astronomical in comparison to places like body renew. The pricing is the main reason for only 3 stars.

We enjoy coming here. My daughter loves the starfish swimming lessons. We just experienced the parents night out, what a huge hit! Love it!!!I must say this, we can tell when Karen from the cleaning crew is working, the ladies locker room is spotless!
