The over all gym is great. It’s the fact that I’ve cancelled my subscription due to traveling and they continue to charge me. They charge me to cancel the service and still continue to charge me. I would not recommend this gym considering how they don’t understand I no longer live in the area so I can’t coming the gym again to cancel my membership again. They want to take money for a service I can’t even use.

Switched from Athens Health to save a few bucks or whatever. Traded quality of machines for a 24 hour gym with ehh equipment that always has signs for “maintenance”. After their 49$ yearly fee that they throw in there after you are about to sign the wonderful promotion not really cheap. Only thing is that it has is some windows for natural light if you care for that. Overall not worth it for me.

For a “no-contracts” Gym. I’m stuck with not being able to downgrade my membership after only paying .20 cents for a promotion. Also you can’t cancel until after the first 60 days. Ridiculous.I called them to ask if I can downgrade my membership online, they said no. Then I asked if I can do it over the phone, they said no, I must send a letter if I can’t do it in person. Then I show up in person on Saturday and the front desk workers say “Sorry we need a manager to do that and he won’t be here until sunday afternoon.” So I show up the next day and the manager can’t do anything for me.Update: I was out of state for a few months, tried going in person to another crunch fitness to cancel in person. Told by them that I need to be in person at the Crunch Fitness I signed up at to cancel. A couple months go by, I go to the Crunch in Athens to finally cancel my membership, and I was told that after December I would no longer be charged.A month goes by, and I get spam called by a 1-800 call center from Texas telling me that I owe $60 and I missed my payment. I am furious, the advertising for this Gym is deceptive at best, and predatory at worst.

Genuinely the best Crunch I have been to. It is so, so capacious filled with very many machines all in great working order, it's very clean and the atmosphere is friendly, but the best part is the employees- they are so personable, welcoming, and helpful. I've particularly seen two current employees, Jonathan and Cassidy (blonde) very regularly and they are always simply the greatest example of the gracious customer service provided at this Crunch. Couldn't recommend the place more!

Always completely packed - 90% of machines filled. They have way too many members for the size of the complex.Non- negotiable annual fee of $50 - Gym claims to be non-contract but deceptively ropes you in.You CANNOT cancel until 2 months have elapsed and until you have paid the annual fee. This costs many miss-informed new patrons ~ $80 in obligatory payments. If you try to argue it, they will tell you they won’t do anything because you agreed to the terms. Management could easily wave this on your account, but that would defeat their scummy cash grab.(Make sure you read the fine print in the AGREEMENT FORM). yes its an “agreement form”, - definitely not a contract.

Do not get a membership at this gym. The process of cancelling my membership has been one of the most difficult things I've ever done in my life. Over a year and a half ago I went in person to cancel my membership, where an employee wrote down my information and promised to cancel my subscription. Spoiler alert they did not cancel my membership. I later emailed them and ask them to cancel my membership, which did not happen. Realizing that this company had no intentions of ever cancelling my membership I contacted my bank and asked them to block Crunch from charging my card. After this I felt at peace knowing that I would no longer be handing over my hard earned money to this vile company. HOWEVER, I recently learned that somehow someway they are still charging me membership fees. You can imagine my amazement at the lengths that this company will go to to charge you after cancellation. I called them, only to find out that I cannot cancel my membership over the phone, only in person. Which takes me full circle to when I started this hellish process of trying to cancel my gym membership. The representative on the phone said that I should be expecting a call from the gyms manager regarding my situation which I HIGHLY doubt I will happen given my past treatment from this company. Additionally, the facilities at this gym aren't really that nice, there are plenty of better gyms in Athens that probably won't drag you into a years long dispute to cancel a membership. Finally, @CrunchFitness please cancel my membership, I don't wan't a refund or anything. All I want is you to stop charging me for a membership that I haven't used in almost two years.

Really great gym if you want to take your fitness life to the next level. With more classes and more weights and machines you can have a more comfortable or harder workout. Can get kinda crowded because of college but if you find a time a day that works best for you I suggest this gym 10/10.

EDIT: See? Even in their response, they blame me. All they do is blame and argue with their customers. They say they don't have contracts BUT they do have lengthy, dense, legally binding "agreements" that say how long you are required to keep your membership. I'm pretty sure most people would consider that to be a contract. Just another example of deceitful advertising.According to my research, this company has an F on the Better Business Bureau website. That seems about right to me.I honestly don't know why they said that they want to reach out to me, when they've made it abundantly clear that in all of their communications that they will not do anything to actually rectify the situation. But of course, if they do sincerely want to reach a solution, they could very easily leave an email address of who I should reach out to. But that would involve them actually treating their customers with any degree of honesty, so I doubt that will ever happen.Original review:I have never felt more scammed by a company before.I signed up with a "first month" promotion. When I signed up, I expressed to the representative that I was looking for a gym just for the summer. Or, if I loved it, I might stay. I thought it was a great deal, $10 for the summer, then I could cancel before the 60-day annual fee if I wanted.No. You can't cancel before 60 days, so you end up having to pay the $50 annual fee. Furthermore, if you cancel on your 60th day, you also end up paying the $10 fee for the next month. So any "first-month" promotion ends up being $70 minimum before you can cancel. When I tried to cancel, I explained this, and the person told me I should have read the contract more closely. I said that this doesn't seem fair or honest, and she stopped responding to me.I explained this all of this before I signed up, and nobody said anything. Honestly, I have never felt more scammed by a company before.

Updated:*Leaving a bad review to inform students to read, comprehend, and understand the agreement for gym cancelations* If I have to wait 30 days for my membership to cancel why not use the facility(not sure whats unclear)1) I wish I read the one star reviews before signing up! 2) Do not sign up in person horrible customer service and you are rushed to sign 3) I know they state there aren't contracts involved but there is when you want to cancel your membership after a few months 4) When I called over the phone the receptionist hung up the phone before I could confirm the managers email. I had to go online and submit a request to be notified 5) during my last visit I got in line on the back side of the desk since I was already In the gym, I was told to get in line on the other side since those people were there first. They then begin to service other people just walking up while I waited so I just left. 6) After submitting a request online I received a prompt reply about cancelation where I would still have to pay the annual fee since there is a 30 day cancelation policy. My advice to students don't be pressured to sign immediately in person and be knowledgeable about the contract

The positive energy, the positive environment, the positive staff.... Can't be beat..... Second to none. The group classes that I've participated in are a God send..... Exercise is necessary for life! I will say that crunch is busy and a lot of users of the gym, which is a beautiful thing! Kudos to my fellow exercisers 😁 A great, great business in our beautiful city of Athens! 💪👍😁💯🔥
