Extremely dissatisfied with everything from beginning to end and it hasn't even been a month with 24 fitness. I have been billed not once not twice but three times in less than a month incorrectly. Upon touring this gym my bf and myself we offered a trail period for $10 each. Great right? Not so much, wasn't told it automatically signs you up after the 7 days. I go in to the gym let them know and they say I am in a 1 year contract! I thought ok that's fine I guess but come to find out after they told me its $35 plus taxes for myself monthly I wouldn't be billed until a month later and my boyfriends is actually month to month so they can cancel it and said they did! Well they didn't!! When not one but to representatives that work at the front desk confirmed they will only bill me for mine. As of Today I have been billed $213.37 and I first went in on 09/11/2017 not even a month! and I have paid over $200 for this smelly, crammed unprofessional and dishonest establishment to rip me off of my hard earned money. I called customer service and the women said there is no notes indicating the month to month membership was requested to be discontinued. I am so frustrated with 24 Fitness. I recently moved to Austin and wasn't expecting to have such a horrible and dishonest experience. I need someone in charge and honest to contact me asap to cancel all services and be reimbursed for all of my charges.

Gym has a good options of weights and machines. However, it is almost always PACKED. Gone here for four years. Staff is friendly, gym is always clean. They have a pool and basketball court. People frequently play games on the court, I've even been asked to join when they were a man short. Never experienced feeling judged or anything like that. But the crowd. I never go after work, too busy. On weeknights I wait until 8pm or 9pm, otherwise I wouldn't get a parking spot. I often workout Friday nights to avoid the crowd. Ridiculous. They have sold way too many memberships and don't appear to care.

I have been a member at 24 Hour Fitness for 15 years. They keep the place clean and the equipment working well. The pool area with sauna, whirlpool and steam room is also in good shape. And the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying it out.

Berkeley, Seattle & L.A. gyms haven’t been able to provide what the Red River 24 Hour Fitness did for me — a sense of community. Maintenance issues arise here, but an excellent staff and well-laid floorplan make up for it. The members here are the best I’ve ever encountered, and many of the basketball players were patient with me in pickup until I finally became a competent 3 & D player. After all the gentrification I don’t miss Austin much, with the exception of the hooping crew at this bargain-priced gym

It’s not the best, it’s not the worst - it gets the job done and that’s all I was looking for when I joined 24hour fitness.Plenty of cardio machines and weight machines. Rarely have I had to wait for a machine of any kind. Locker rooms are pretty clean. The greeters at the counter are always friendly and I’ve managed to ignore the grouchy management I’ve encountered there in the past.I have no inclination to try the trainers as I never see them actually doing any exercises with their clients - to me a good trainer will not only show you how it’s done but do a few reps with you. That has been my experience in the past.

This is a very nice location with pool and basketball court. It can get busy at peak times but so does every gym. When I travel to Austin this is the gym I use. 24 hour is very convenient when traveling around the state. It's nice to pull over and take a break

Yes it's packed after work. Yes it's small compared to some other locations, but honestly there isn't a lot of options in the area. Gold's is more geared towards meatheads so I have always chosen 24. This location has great staff. The trainers work hard and the kids club staff is amazing. I like this gym a lot because I come here to train. My kids stay in the club as long as I need because they are having fun so I get time to do what I need to do. Ignore the obvious folks who aren't there to do work writing reviews, nothing will satisfy those types of people.

Disappointed with the direction this gym has gone recently (I've been a member for over 2 years). They took half the TV's and made them a consistent 24 Hour fitness commercial. Two corners of the facility are dedicated to special classes or training, none of the machines / equipment have been updated since I started going. Even though I went fairly regularly, the majority of the staff are less than friendly. There are few classes I actually enjoy, at times I'm actually available, and even then there may not be room for me. I could go on, but suffice it to say that raising my monthly payments (again) doesn't help their cause.

I signed up to this gym specially to attend the group classes and because it is close to home. However in less than two months as a member, 2 times I've been sitting on my spin bike ready to start the class and they have cancelled the class. Also, the group class schedule is limited (they even reduced it even more this year) and with very few AM classes, and weekend classes. I have had to drive all the way to the research blv location since they have more classes, but the classes are really crowded. I am disappointed. The pool area was closed almost a month too. I'm cancelling my membership as soon as I find a better gym.

Good location, staff is great and friendly, machines are kept pretty clean and tidy. On average about 2-3 machines are broken out of all of them on a given day, but for the most part, you can find a machine open even during peak hours. Pretty tiny workout area, basketball court is way huge for what it's needed. Nonetheless, though it might be packed at 5PM, it's not crazy unbearable. Gym locker room + warmup area are pretty small, I wish the main floor was bigger or separated a bit more, but that's the only downside.
