This location provides all the necessary equipment to get in a workout of your choosing - weights, court, machines, swimming, etc. Music was very loud. I would have thought the gym would get an opportunity to finally fix the whirlpool but the jets were barely working.

For 30-35/month its an okay gym. Equipment is definitely worn down (stripped barbells, DBs, chipped DBs, etc) but its still got a good range of options. I am giving it a one star because after charging me on March 15th they closed down on march 17th due to the virus. Then they decided they should still charge me on April 15th, despite being closed with no plans to reopen. Now they are allowed to open May 18th (Can't wait to see if they charge me on 5/15), but have announced this location doesn't seem to be interested.Really hoping that after 8+ weeks of downtime they will do two things: 1. Replace their stripped/broken barbells/DBs and 2. Actually provide any level of information as to when they will reopen to actually show they care about communicating with their members. Just want to know if I should change to a gym that puts being open as a priority.

This is my second time getting a membership at 24hr. I only stopped going there, back in the day, because my fitness goals were lying elsewhere. This time around I got a personal training session with Vijay. I just want to say that I enjoyed his level of competence and dedication to find best complex of exercises and stretches to accommodate person's individual muscle imbalances. If you're looking for a personal trainer, look no further.

I've been going to this location on/off for maybe the last 5 years. I started working with JENNIFER TROCONIS for the last 8 months and I couldn't be happier. She is an outstanding trainer and I've seen important shifts in my body composition and my attitude towards my health and wellbeing. If you are looking for a trainer that is supportive and empowering, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.I have critiques of the facility - some of the front desk staff are not great. Yes, the equipment isn't top of the line but it's functional. I am constantly disappointed by the sauna. Wish those things were better, but I get what I need - specifically getting consistent in doing cardio and resistance training 3-4 times a week. The classes are great and underutilized.Five stars are because Jennifer has helped me so much with my health and conditioning. Honestly, the trainers here are amazing.

I have been going to different gyms since I was in 7th grade. I have been to bad gyms and good gyms. But I have never been to a gym where the trainers and the staff are extremely helpful and caring the way they are at 24 Hour Fitness at the Hancock Center. Truly an amazing environment! A big shout out and thank you to trainers Jen T., Kelly G., and Austin G. for being helpful when I strain a muscle, need a new exercise, or can't figure out the best way to stretch. Y'all have truly raised the bar, thank you!!!

The gym itself is all you need. Often equipment may be "down" but generally it's fixed timely. Up front staff has good customer service, but this is the only gym I've ever been to they will ask you to leave for wearing shoes in the sauna to "keep the floor clean". These floors are covered in people's sweat and spit, and to think im gonna take my shoes off to go in barefoot is absurd. I've been a 24 member in many cities for awhile now, and I've never been singled out for something like that. Back to lifetime I go✌🏼

Great basketball courts with plenty of balls to shoot around with. Reasonably good facilities. Mediocre training staff. Nightmarish cancellation policy. They do this thing where they force you to come in person to cancel, but it tells you what number you need to call in your contract. Really weird and uncomfortable sales tactic. Then after I called to cancel I was charged for 3 months and had to go through the hoops of customer service again. But if you're into crowded commercial gyms who hire college students as personal trainers then by all means go for it!

I go here because it is close to my house. Other than that it leaves a lot to desire. You'll get less cleasiness than one of those budget gyms. The machinery isn't well kept. For example most of the machines have worn off weight labels. I've complained to staff with no success. Finally had to complain to the manager who was dismissive. Anyone with some capital should open a competing facility. You'll clean up. Update: Spoke to the manager, let's hope for follow through.

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Austin from South Carolina and needed a place to workout. Scott went out of his way to take care of us and was very welcoming. Wonderful customer service. This gym is clean, organized, and offers more than just the basics. Thank you from the east coast!

I have been a member of this company for a little over 15 years and I would Not recommend this gym or company in general to anyone.I moved here from Houston almost five years ago. My first impression was a year before that when I visited for the week. The floor was so dirty the yoga instructor cleaned the floors with some of the yoga students because we didn't feel comfortable lying in hair, dust and dirt. The first week I moved to Austin I trained here and the smell of the ladies restroom smelled like a combination of a tuna factory and a sewage plant. And just last week actually, over half of the restrooms were unflushed and dirty as well, with urine on the seats even.If you're okay with settling,... with extremely unclean facilities, filthiness, rude customer service, (they actually ignore you most of the time and don't even greet their members),... lower standards and pure MEDIOCRITY if your preference, this just might be your jam.But if you have higher standards for yourself personally and professionally and are in quest of a gym that is clean, safe, friendly, professional, and respectful, then there are plenty of gyms here in Austin that are a great fit for that.. This wouldn't be one of them.My last straw was last week when I lost a diamond earring that was an anniversary present. Although I take full responsibility and accountability for my belongings, and honestly those kinds of things just happen really, no big deal right. (that's what insurance policies and warranties are for of course)...But the way they handled it was so unprofessional and quite frankly ABSOLUTELY unacceptable that I had to cancel my membership.I went into this gym the next morning (to see if, by chance hopefully I could find my earring upstairs where I left it)And the floors had NOT been cleaned. Which told me that both the girl and young man on the phone had straight up lied to me about checking if it had been turned in. And they did not even ask for my information, I had to volunteer that because they didn't know that was something you needed to do in order to get back with the member in case it turned up.And also when I asked the young lady about their process of valuable missing items, and if they had one, her answer was "Oh Yeah, we do" and then she couldn't explain to me what it was. There hasn't been any formal training in customer service or how to speak to their members or handle certain situations apparently. It isn't about the earrings. Nor any material things. Because those things can be replaced. However, the people, cannot be replaced. It's about treating people with professionalism and with respect, and not just a number or a paycheck. The members are the entire reason why the company is in business. Yet as I have seen and experienced, they are not treated as such. It's also about taking pride in your work and paying attention to the details. The details are important, and your customers should be important to your business. In my years of experience with 24 Hour, unfortunately they are not.I am a business owner and an entrepreneur and personally I would not EVER speak to my customers or patients in this manner. Not would I allow my staff to do so. I would have personally checked on the member myself and done everything I could to help or have had my staff trained to handle such situations and do what they could to help them as well. But that's just me. I take pride in my work and I actually CARE about me clients. They do not care here and that is quite evident in every aspect of the facility and the way that they do business here. There are a lot of fantastic gyms to train at here in Austin, great energy and are CLEAN!Gyms with great customer service and positive, uplifting energy.Gyms that greet their customers and treat them with respect and professionalism and go above and beyond for their customers.I was a customer for a decade and a half, a quiet and reserved person that is always respectful and very patient with them. If they treated me as such, imagine how they will treat you. You deserve better!
